    Holy Hotness!!!

Who hasn't had a crush on a singer or a boy band member??? I know I have, um hello NKOTB!!!!! Lord knows what I would have done if I meant them, let alone been able to spend some.....ummmmm....."time" with them. Eli: my wildest dream....my new book boyfriend!!! He is the perfect man.....well....ok he has his quirks but they can be overlooked. Heather: such a strong woman of character and mind. She exemplified a woman who if she was real, she would be my hero! Put these two together and holy hotness!!!!

Dreams come true and Eli Walsh is it!

This is every girls dream , everyone who has ever drooled over that guy that's immortalized on their teenage wall, the tv or the radio. You channel your 16 -20 year old self and think wow remember when and what if I had this chance. However life isn't always rainbows and Heather is trying to live hers , day to day. She has some amazing friends ,lifelong friends the very best kind (I'm crushing on them )one night one concert and Enter Eli Walsh and when fantasy meets reality well it's PURE PERFECTION. It is nothing that you expect, and everything you want and you beg for more. I see so much of myself and my friends in Heather and friends. It's a Standalone it's beautiful it's heartbreaking and you'll be in Love when you're done . Then you'll be replaying all your boy band music .

    Eli is a keeper!

Oh my. I love everything Corinne has ever given us, but I'm fairly sure Eli takes the cake! There were so many emotions that I felt as I read Eli and Heather's story. You feel happiness, heartache, you feel like you're one of the girls and you feel the love. I couldn't put the book down when I started. I didn't want it to end. Eli is a rockstar, an actor and the man every girl dreams about. I couldn't stop falling for him. He found someone that intrigued him, someone that didn't treat him differently because of his status. I loved that piece of the story because it made him seem like a normal person, not a "famous" rockstar who can't have a normal life. Heather hasn't had it easy. She's dealing with the loss of her parents prior to the book taking place, an ill sister and being sought after by one of the hottest rockstars of her teenage years. Watching Heather and everything she has going on in her life you can't help but want to crawl through your kindle and give her a hug. I loved Heather and Eli. I loved how they interacted with each other, I love how they built their relationship and fought until the end to get what they wanted, each other.

    A must read

When reading "We Own Tonight" you will have a roll coaster of emotions, there will be laughs tears but in true Corinne style your heart will be put back together. Heather has taken on the role of parents to her sister and works and does nothing else. Heather goes out one night with friends thinking its just one night but that one night will change the live she had planned on living. Eli has lived must of his life in the public eye and wants more than anything to have people see him for who he really is not the actor or singer.

    Eli Will Own Your Heart

Corinne Michaels always delivers. Romance, emotion, angst, sexytimes, the whole nine yards; Corinne always gets it right. She happens to be one of a handful of authors who can make me cry, which I kind of wish she'd stop with that, but whatever. And yes, I cried a couple of times reading this book. To be honest, the beginning of this book did not hook me, but I have come to trust that Michaels knows what she's doing so I kept reading. And yes, by the time Heather and Eli locked eyes, I was all in. And by all in, I mean I read this book in a single five-hour sitting. Heather's got a hard life, and she's the responsible type. No time for fun or love, just things to live up to, people to take care of and protect. Her ex-husband, dead parents, and sick sister prove to her that love is a direct path to pain, so she doesn't bother. Eli is part of a NKOTB-style boy band, and now an actor. He's rich, famous, and sort of renowned for his man-whore ways. His last major relationship ended beyond badly and he's on the no-love-ever bandwagon, too. Too much pain. And, there's a personal issue that keeps him from having a real relationship, too. No, I'm not going to tell you what. Michaels's skill lies in bringing her characters together while keeping them true to themselves. She is an expert at creating heroines are not just superficially strong, but who actually do take care of themselves and the ones they love and who don't sit home pining for a big, strong man to shoulder their burdens. Heather Covey is no exception. She's a cop, a friend, a sister, and a caring human being, and she lives up to all of it. Michaels's other great skill is creating heroes who don't need to run the universe. All Eli wants is to do the work he loves, be good to his family, and deal with his problems on his own. He doesn't want or need to command or control any woman and he never goes there. I mean, I like a good, dominating, alpha hero as much as the next girl, but it's refreshing Michaels doesn't have to create one every time she writes a book. Eli Walsh is a great guy, a strong, talented, loving guy, but he's not an alphahole. Yay! Let me also give a HUGE shout out to Corinne Michaels for having the main characters in her romance novel be past their twenties. Practically past their thirties! One of the reasons this book works so well is that we have two grown-ups who are beaten up and battered, whose hearts have been scarred and bruised, and who know that love doesn't conquer everything; honesty, trust, and hard work, however, will conquer most things. THANK YOU, CORINNE! It's refreshing to find characters with life experience, real jobs, established relationships, pasts, and relatable emotions. All these twenty-something romances are nice, but even given Eli's wealth and fame, this story is more real because the characters are like real people. This book will make you laugh, and cry, and hope. Hope! Corinne Michaels is the queen of great romances and this book is as good as anything she's ever written. If you like a real romance that doesn't involve cheating, or contrived misunderstandings, or heroines being won over by the grand gesture, or anyone having to change who they are to be with the one they love, then this book is for you. Get a good, cold drink (I recommend a venti latte, but that's up to you), find a comfy chair, and go all in with We Own Tonight. Another fantastic book by an author who understands what romance novels are really all about.
