    Amazing story!

A story about triumph in the face of everything evil. A well written account of one Jewish families pain and struggles during Nazi occupied Poland. A really good read!!

    Amazing Read

An absolutely riveting novel. Beautifully written. Based on the experiences of the author’s family, many of which she learned about from the actual individuals. Perhaps that is why it comes across as so authentic. It captured my interest from the first paragraph and never let up. One of the best books I’ve read in recent years.

    Such a great read...

because of the way the author kept me up to date on all the characters . I wasn't always wondering what they were doing or where they were. I enjoy reading about WWII, somewhere in the words events are true, and they educate us on both negative as well as more hopeful consequences.

    We Were the Lucky Ones

That this book traces a real family and their lives during the horrors of being Jude in Europe during World War II, made it even more special to read. I was pulled into their stories and couldn't stop reading until the end.
