    Too Partisan To Be Credible

The book falls apart literally within the first few pages. Having taken the position that lying is rampant in our electronic age and that education has failed our generations with no ability to discern truth from lies Levitin goes on to applaud Facebook for encouraging this same group of poorly equipped commentators to report "fake news" or lies. The authors partisanship becomes evident early and often and as such loses credibility. Too bad as this is certainly a topic worth exploring in a genuine and scholarly manner. Levitin employees neither of these things.
