    Fantastic

Maddie McCarthy's life is in the dumper! She's lost her boyfriend, her job, and horror of all horrors, she has to go to her sister's wedding dateless unless she does something. Quick!! Since finding a date seems impossible, and she can't stand the humiliation of going alone, she does the next best thing. She hires an escort (not that kind, keep it clean people!). When her date turns out to be Trent Montgomery, her high school tormentor and she might have had a little crush on him, she's ready to run! To help his cousins fledgling business and get back his initial investment to save his own business Trent knows he has to convince Maddie that this is a good idea and he is no longer the idiot he was in high school. If the sizzling chemistry going on between the two of them is anything to go by, he was definitely an idiot! Theirs might be the best first date EVER! This was a fantastic read and one I highly recommend.

    4 Stars

This was more of a novella than a full length book and that's OK, but I rate novellas based on what can be accomplished under 200 pages. Jennifer Shirk did a nice job with well-developed characters in 150+/- pages. Although, Maddie did frustrate me at times with her stuck-in-the-past attitude, I enjoyed the story premise and characters. The "fake boyfriend/girlfriend" romance trope tends to stress me out, because I'm waiting for the embarrassing shoe to drop. Fortunately, it was handled smoothly without angst and drama. Overall, it was a fun and clean read with a sweet HEA. I received a copy of this story through Reading Deals. This review is my honest and unbiased opinion.

    Great Book!

I received this book from the Publisher via NetGalley in exchange for a honest review. In Wedding Date For Hire, Maddie is a single woman living with her mother and thinks she has a curse on finding true love. Her sister is getting married and Maddie needs a date and contacts Match Made Easy and is set up with Trent, a guy who used to tease her in high school, but with her been desperate for a date she agrees to going out with him. As Maddie and Trent rediscover each other and find that maybe she doesn't have a curse on men just bad luck. It all leads to a bittersweet ending that everyone will love. Even though I never read the first book in the series, it was easy to get into. I like how everyone in the book came together without being overly sappy and with a bittersweet ending that I truly loved. Thank You to Jennifer Shirk for writing a book that was full of romance and laughter!

Wedding Date for Hire is a really sweet romance.

Maddie McCarthy is tired of being the laughing stock of her family and living with the curse of being unlucky in love. In a moment of frustration, Maddie decides to tell everyone she has a boyfriend. When she sees an ad advertising the services of Match Made Easy, she sees this as an answer to at least one of her prayers. Too bad her hopes and prayers are dashed when she discovers her Match Made Easy date is with Trent “Money” Montgomery. Back in high school, Trent was an arrogant, self-centered jock and one of Maddie’s many tormentors. He’s now a changed man. Agreeing to do a favor for his cousin who owns Match Made Easy, Trent steps in at the last minute to be Maddie’s date. His cousin desperately needs Maddie’s business and the connections she could offer. With no time to figure out another option, Maddie has no choice but to go along with Trent being her date. Maddie loves her younger sister, Louise, so much that she wants her wedding day to be special. She will do whatever is necessary to make sure Louise is the main focus and not her. Maddie has abandonment issues as a result of her father leaving the family. She thinks like all the other older first daughters in her family that she’s cursed in the love department, as it seems her relationships only last a few weeks. Trent is a nice and decent guy. He isn’t the teenager seeking attention like he use to be. His only true family is his cousin and his dog. He’s been hurt so he isn’t really one to believe in love and forever. My biggest issue with this story is Maddie's sister, the bride. It’s Louise’s wedding but the best man is Maddie’s ex-boyfriend, who cheated on her and got her fired from the restaurant they both worked at. I don’t understand why Louise didn’t insist her soon to be husband pick someone else to be the best man. It’s not like the best man was the groom’s brother. I don’t even think the two hung out in the book. Wedding Date for Hire is a really sweet romance. It’s perfect for tweens and adults who believe that love conquers all and truly love happy endings. Maddie and Trent are both people I would love to know. All the secondary characters, except for one, are likeable and Maddie’s Aunt Marie brings humor and intelligence to the story. This is a story of love, friendship, trust, and second chances. **Received a copy of the book courtesy of Entangled Publishing for an honest and unbiased opinion.**

    Loved it!!

I fell in love with this book. A sweet, clean and funny romance. Maddie needs a date for her sister's wedding. She feels that she has the "curse" in the romance department, so she turns to Match Made Easy for an escort. Her escort turns out to be her old high school crush, Trent. Trent is only helping is cousin out for escort service. There is a sizzling chemistry between Maddie and Trent, but Maddie believes it is just part of the service. Now Trent has to prove to Maddie that it is the real thing. This is the second book in the series, but can be read as a stand alone. This book will have you laughing out loud. I highly recommend this for a fun clean romance. I was provided this book by netgalley for an honest review.
