A Memoir not only the man but of the world travel

Full disclosure: I was given this book in return for an honest review. In "Weeping Kings and Wild Boars: . . . author Jerry Eckert lays before the reader several essays about his work, travels, and personal discoveries and growth with intrinsict skill and highly readable writing. This book is part travelogue, part agricultural lessons, part socio-economic studies, part humor, part political dynamics and wholly enjoyable. Professor Eckert's writing style blends the technical and scholastic elements of his work and governmental contacts with a personal aside that brings the reader into the huts, hotels, compounds, and desert landscapes where his stories take place. "Weeping Kings and Wild Boars" goes way beyond a simple memoir, extending into the geo-political/agricultural dynamics of some of the poorest areas on earth. Heartwarming, stark, and fascinating, the memoir will take you beyond the borders of several countries and your own world.
