    Amazing

What an amazing book to kick off a brand new series from this author. Moonlight Harbor is a quaint little town and it could be just the place for Jenna Jones to get the fresh start she so desperately needs. She never expected to be forty, divorced, and a single mom to a teenager yet that's her life. Financially she's barely scrapping by so when her aunt makes her an offer to run the inn in Moonlight Harbor she jumps at the chance. Only the inn isn't quite what it use to be and neither is the town. Jenna is nothing if not determined and she's going to give it her all! With the help of some of the townspeople she might just pull it off. This is a great read and definitely one I recommend.

"Find the Rainbow in the Storm"

Sheila Roberts has started another wonderful series, this time at the beach, Moonlight Harbor to be exact. I can almost smell the sea air, hear the seagulls overhead and feel the power of the waves as I read along. I love these new characters (friends) and look forward to getting to know them much better over this series. There is so much potential and so many relationships to explore. Jenna has been asked to help restore the Driftwood Inn belonging to her Aunt Edie, advanced in age, widowed, and no longer able to keep it going. Jenna arrives with her teenage daughter and discovers it's much worse than she even imagined. The biggest problem is there is not enough money to handle all the repairs needed to bring the inn up to par and make it profitable again. Added to Jenna's stress is a deadbeat ex-husband that she's having to pay spousal support to and not receiving any child support for their daughter. The daughter, Sabrina, hates the new location and everything about it. All she wants is to go back "home" and be with her father only unknown to her, he wants no part of dealing with a teenager. Jenna has her hands quite full! One of my favorite characters is Jolly Roger, a colorful parrot with a saucy mouth and quips to fit every occasion. And when a stray cat gets in the house accidentally....look out! This author has a way with the written word, and lots of characterization interspersed with great humor. Need a vacation? Come to Moonlight Harbor and kick up a little beach sand and meet great people. I received a complimentary copy of this novel but was not required to write a review.
