    Emotion, Mystery & Drama

This is an enjoyable read. Weston's book has a lot going on as the storyline unfolds. The storyline is filled with a complex blend of emotion, drama, tension, suspense, turmoil, mystery and twists. The book is well written and engaging. All together a very entertaining read and a solid addition to this wonderful series. I am freely posting a forthright review.

    Heartwarming

Weston Thurlow, having been medically discharge from a military dark ops team was bored and at a loose end when he entered the office of Titanium Corp and confronted Badger it's leader and announced that he wanted in. Titanium Comp was an organisation set up to locate military dogs that had gone off the radar. Weston jumped at the chance of tracing Shambhala who had been injured and had lost one leg and an eye, she had been placed with a couple in Alaska but no contact could be made with them. Weston had his own reasons for wanting to go to Alaska, before being blown up he had a message from Angel, with whom he had had a drunken one night stand, informing him that he had an eighteen month old daughter that he could do nothing about because she had already been adopted. When Weston was in hospital he received messages from Daniela, the woman who had adopted his daughter Sari , asking him to contact her. Here starts the traumatic story of locating a starving injured dog and building a bond with his daughter, the story encompasses murder, attempted kidnapping, possible identity fraud, the beautiful love between a child and a dog and the blossoming love between Daniela and Weston. This is the eighth book in the K9 series and whether you are a dog lover or not you cant't help but be moved by these stories, the love and respect the dogs and their handlers have for one another and the dogs protective instincts. Another brilliant, heartwarming, well researched book by Dale Mayer.

    Fantastic!

Fantastic! Wow! This one gets twisty right away! Weston travels to Anchorage, Alaska and gets nose deep in the details surrounding his daughter, the birth mother, the adoptive mother and the war dog he came to find. The longer he is there, the more weird things happen. Weston finds the war dog, Shambhala, roaming around behind the feed store parking lot. It doesn’t take much effort to capture her and assess her overall condition. Food and attention is the first on the list of her needs but a place to stay is a close second. Suspected murder turns to the real thing, Daniela is receiving threats to have her adopted daughter, Sari taken from her and young Sari is instantly in love with Shambhala, the three- legged, one-eyed, highly trained, war dog! I love how Weston jumps right in to figure out what’s going on with both the dog’s situation and Sari’s adoption. He doesn’t know things will blow up into a bigger mess as more questions are asked than answered. A very heartwarming relationship between Sari and Shambhala, who is very protective of the toddler. There is a variety of emotions between Weston and Daniela along with Daniela’s fear of losing Sari to her birth mother, Angel. Suspicious events combine when unknown details of Sari’s adoption are revealed and Shambhala’s owners are dead. Twists and turns, mysterious gunfire, harassing phone calls, murders all make for a fast-paced read with emotional subjects. There is a sweet satisfaction when Weston and Daniela find their chemistry is off the charts despite all that is happening. Great story, very engaging and a must read all in one sitting!

    A Fantastic Suspense Romance .

I really enjoyed reading WESTON . Weston Thurlow volunteers to go to Alaska to search for Shambhala a missing war dog that has a missing limb and is blind in one eye . He also needs to see a daughter he never knew he had till her adopted mother contacted him . He needs to sort it all out . Upon arrival Daniela Rodgers the woman who adopted his daughter and is now a widow meets him at airport and welcomes him . As Weston spends time with Daniela and his daughter he finds Shambhala and unfortunately danger . Mean while Daniela keeps receiving threatening calls from the birth mother . While Weston and Daniela grow closer so does danger . This story is fantastic . It is full of suspense and intrigue , very action packed . I highly recommend taking the time to read .
