    Paris/Romance/Decisions

I was pleased to be selected as one of a group of people who got to read this book on a platform called Social Book. I read until my eyes burned. I do not normally read romances but Bette just may change my mind about that. Life kind of got in the way of me getting to do my review until now. What do I say? I do agree with Max's decision to go to Paris to find her lost love given that she had the money to do it. Even if it's just to find out its not all she wants it to be. On the Social Book platform I and other users were able to comment as we read the book. As I read I think I recall one of my comments being Oh no Max! I will have to see if I can still get into the book and refresh my memory on the story. Annie, her best friend who lives in Memory House does not want her to go. She thinks she is setting herself up to get her heart broken. She asks Ophelia for advice then mixes up some herbs and makes a tea she believes will keep Max from making foolish decisions. This book too has a touch of magic and some romance of course. I get to travel through my reading as I know I will never get to do otherwise. So I get to experience a trip to Paris in this book. Great job again Mrs. Crosby!

    Wonderful novel to read!

What the Heart Remembers by Bette Lee Crosby is the third book in the Memory House Collection. Annie and Oliver Doyle are happily enjoying their home and awaiting the birth of their baby. Max (Maxine) Martinelli is Annie’s friend and an architect. Max has been unable to move forward with her life since she returned from Paris three years ago. When Max was in Paris she met and fell in love with Julien Marceau. Julien was supposed to follow Max back to the states. Unfortunately, Max never heard from Julien again. Now Max thinks that Julien could have been in an accident and have amnesia. That is why he never contacted her. Max is determined to go to Paris and look for Julien. Annie has tried talking to Max (to get her to move on) and she has even tried to set her up with Oliver’s old law partner, Andrew Steen. This is a journey that Max needs to go on in order to have a future. Annie sends her off at the airport with some special tea. Max goes to Paris and starts searching for Julien. Will Max find what she is looking for in Paris? Or will she find something even better? Join us on Max’s journey in What the Heart Remembers. What the Heart Remembers is a wonderful book to read. I did want to strangle Max at times, but I understand how she feels (it is hard to get over someone). It is nice to revisit the characters in the Memory House Collection. We get to see how Ophelia Browne is enjoying her new life at Baylor Towers, how Oliver is doing after his accident, and we get to find out if Annie has a boy or a girl! I thoroughly enjoyed this novel and did not want it to end. I think this is my favorite book from the Memory House Collection. I give What the Heart Remembers 5 out of 5 stars. In order to enjoy What the Heart Remembers, you really do need to read the other two books in the series (in order for everything to make sense). I received a complimentary copy of What the Heart Remembers from the author in exchange for an honest review.

What the Heart Remembers is Heart-Warming

Absolutely a 5 star read and a wonderful addition to the Memory House series. This third book in the Memory House series by Bette Lee Crosby is another heart-warming story. I am absolutely entranced by the writing and I feel as thought I am a part of the story and that I'm living it right along with the characters. As do all of her books, this book once again has a magical quality about it. It is not overdone, but just the right does to make you believe. This is the story of Max Martinelli who studied architecture in Paris and come home to the United States, leaving behind her beau, who she thought would follow her home. Max is heartbroken and yearns for Julien. A few years later, she feels the need to confront Julien to find out why he never followed her. She books a trip to Paris and off she goes to find her lost love. Sometimes things in the past should remain in the past and you should look at what is staring you in the face and move forward with your life. Take a ride on this magical journey and see what transpires. Remember, to take a box of tissue with you on your magic carpet. Bravo Bette Lee Crosby on another fabulous book.

Another great book by Bette Lee Crosby

I received this book in exchange for an honest review. Another great book by Bette Lee Crosby! The characters in her books are so real and well developed. She develops a story for each character. This is an excellent read with just a little romance thrown in. Although this is part of a series of books, it can be read as a standalone novel. I would recommend this to anyone. Max spent three years in Paris studying architecture. While she was there she met Julien. He was an artist with an inclination to be light fingered. They fell in love and when Max left to come back to America, Julien agreed to eventually reunite with her in the US. Three years has passed and Max hasn’t heard from Julien. She wants to move forward with her life but can’t because of the loose ties from her time in Paris. She decides to go back to Paris to see if she can find Julien and see if they both still have feelings for each other. Her reunion is nothing like she expected. But she does run into an old acquaintance, Andrew. Andrew helps her out of a tough spot and they get to know each other better. Could Andrew be the man of her dreams or is Max meant to stay with Julien?

Another winner by Bette Lee Crosby

Bette Lee Crosby never surprises me with her wonderful stories and this one was no exception. It was wonderful from start to finish. A sequel in the Memory House collection, book number 3, is about Max and her memories of time in Paris. The title is perfect for this story. We all at times remember things a bit different than they truly are. Max had to go back to Paris to get closure before she could move on with her life. She did find out threw a lot of things that happened to her that things were not as great as she thought. I felt for her and enjoyed as she went through all she did to find true love and happiness. Annie from a previous book is Max's best friend and worries when she can't get a hold of her but Oliver and Ophelia try to reassure her but Annie is truly worried. What will Max find. Will things be as she thought they were or are her memories of Julien from the excitement of a memory that was not what she thought at all? Will she find true love in Paris or back at home? This is a truly wonderful story of love, loss and happiness that will last a lifetime. The Memory House collection is a wonderful series and you will not be disappointed in any of them. As a matter of fact you will not be disappointed in any of Ms Crosby's books. This is a page turner that you have to read after the 1st two books and I'm so looking forward to the next book in this series. It's one of those that I will hate to see end. I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. It in no way reflex's my review. I truly loved this book from the first page to the last. A great story.
