    Honest and clear

A journey through life when faced with a terminal illness. A very honest examination of this aspect of how to live fully while dying. Because he is a phyician, he brings unique views to this passage. Well written, emotional.

    Couldn't put it down

One of the best books I have ever read. Well written and honest. Rarely does such writing bring tears to my eyes.

    Excellent

I enjoyed the book, it was well written and gave me a very good perspective, not that I am a doctor, but could understand and feel respect for Paul. Thank you for the good read.

    When Breath Becomes Air

In the time of exssesive expressiveness of people I never thought one's expression of blunt reconciliation with himself in the face of death would be so simple and beautiful as the first minutes of the morning sun. May Paul Kalanithi rest in peace.

    WHEN BREATH BECOMES AIR

An up front and center recounting of a neurosurgeon's experience with terminal cancer and ultimate death as seen through his eyes as a doctor and patient. It is an emotional, gripping story about change, loss, grief, love, adaptation, support, and coming to terms with one's mortality, told by a brilliant and well educated man who had worked tirelessly to attain his life's work only to have his future snatched from him far too soon. He approaches his terminal illness with grace and bravery, maitaini g meaning in his life by writing about his experience. An interesting, sad, yet triumphant story offering unique insight into living and coping with as well as dying from, terminal disease. His wife's epilogue is moving. I feel honoured to have read tbis man's story, his personal journey, and am pleased that his book was able to be published.
