  • Heartbreaking BEAUTIFUL must read!

WOW..... I'm at a loss for words and just like the previous books in this series it gutted me and kept me on the edge of my seat from beginning to end. "Baby, love doesn't shackle you; it makes you fly. And if I know you, you wouldn't spend time with someone who would lock you in a cage. You'd be with a man who would fasten stronger wings to your back and point you in the direction of the sun." Marni Mann is masterful with her words giving us an angsty, riveting, extraordinary story that will have you questioning everything while leaving you an emotional mess. This book is darker, raw and gut-wrenching and just when you think you figured it out you're thrown another twist that blows your mind. "There was the sound of heavy footsteps above. The pounding and sawing followed, filling my head with so many questions. The door unlocked, and then suddenly, you were there. A moment. And I knew this was.....when darkness ends." Ashe and Pearl were EVERYTHING.....their story was heartbreakingly beautiful, enthralling and addicting once you start you can't stop so prepare yourself for one UNPUTDOWNABLE must read!

  • This whole series is incredible!

Destroyed, that's how I feel. I thought the other books in this series destroyed me. They did, this book did to a new level. My heart feels like it could explode. I don't think my heart has ever beaten so fast during any story I've read. In my review for When Ashes Fall I talked about how words can fail to represent the full extent of how you're feeling. That's the cause with this whole series. Simply put, these books are indescribable. I know I feel completely lost, not knowing exactly how to feel. Throughout this book I felt love, devotion, lifelong friendship, heartache and a complete and utter broken spirit. This series will never leave me. It will remind me daily how important life is and how quickly it can change. "A moment. And I knew this was … when darkness ends.”

  • Heartbreaking, Beautiful & Complex Story

I have no words. This story was heartbreaking, beautiful, complex and filled me with such emotion. I fell in love deeply with all of the characters and their thoughtfulness, caring personalities...they lit up the pages. As dark as parts of this book were, what really shone off the pages was the love between Ashe, Pearl, Dylan and her Gran. I loved the depth of the story, the twists in the past and present and the unfaltering loyalty these characters had. As many tears I shed, I smiled just as many times with every hug, shoulder and love given throughout the entire book. I will feel this emotional adventure for days and weeks to come.

  • Spectacular Romantic Suspense

When Darkness Ends is the third book in Marni Mann’s Moments in Boston series, but is a complete standalone. This book went back and forth from the past to the present telling the story of Pearl and Ashe. I honestly didn’t know what to expect from their story because all of the Boston books have been so different from one another. This one was full of suspense and kept me on the edge of my seat. I loved both main characters immensely. I think Marni Mann really out did herself writing this phenomenal love story. I highly recommend it and can’t wait to see what she writes next!

  • #BostonStrong

It's like a motherloade of emotions running straight through A series revolving around the unfortunate act of terrorism of Boston and an homage to the indomitable spirit of survival too. #BostonStrong “Baby, love doesn’t shackle you; it makes you fly. " Marni has just cleaved my heart in two with her trademark poignant prose that kept me glued to the pages, and I read till 12 am cause I couldn't put it down. I shed tears and hiccuped and my heart jumped to my throat towards the end. And as much as I love her I was really angry at a sudden plot twist. “Life is going to happen; you don’t have the power to stop it, dollface. So, tuck your body into a ball and roll with each bump.” She sets the stage with three close friends in college - Pearl Daniels, Ashe Flynn and Dylan Cole. They're young, full of dreams & ambitions, formulating promising future plans. Ashe has led a cushioned life with Dylan, his childhood best friend. Whereas Pearl has had to fight hard to keep her head above the water. She's constantly flying from pillar to post to make ends meet. "my dollface had been running in circles for a long time, wearing sneakers that were too tight and never able to catch her breath. " Ashe makes her take her shoes off and stand still to admire the skyline, the sunsets, the Vista from the top of the mountain with him. He's truely the most beautiful thing to happen to her. A noble spirit meeting a virginal angel and it became a love that took my breath away. "Fifteen minutes, I promised myself, and then I’m out of here. Things were over between us before they even had a chance to start." But marni wouldn't be marni if she let the sailing go smooth. The events that shatter their tranquil world apart are too grotesque to fathom. But monstrous evil prevailing in the world is an unfortunate reality. How the story rises to orgasmic highs with love blossoming all over Boston and then comes crashing down like a building in an explosion, it's a major whiplash to the heart, so be prepared to get your heart mauled by Marni words and get a bottle of wine #JustSaying 4.5 stars for Dollface
