    Definitely worth the read!

Loved this book. It kept my attention. My partner leant me his #12 book in this series while we were on vacation and after I’d read it I was hooked. Had to go straight back and start at the beginning of the series. It does not disappoint.

    Always read Wilbur Smith

It really doesn't matter which book or which series it's from, all Smith's books are perfect. They defy labels of adventure, history, romance, war, etc. The series deals with the move of white settlers into Africa. Not always politically correct, but usually accurate.

    When the Lion Feeds

I really enjoyed this book. I've read other of Mr Smith's books and have never been disappointed. His characters have depth and display both the finer qualities and also the weaknesses and foibles of flesh and blood people. The action is well paced and the plot twists are consistent with the situations the characters find themselves in. I was saddened to see Katrina depart and end her young life through her misreading of the relationship between Shawn and Candy.
