    Happily ever after

Anorher wonderful book by Anna Harrington. I thought that Quinn and Belle were just perfect for each other. Quinn knew the sparks ignited in that first kiss but he was just too young to know what he wanted. Belle reminded him how he felt when he showed up on his aunt's request. Belle needed to marry by her 25th birthday she only wanted to marry for love. Quinton knew he couldnt let no one else have her. There was a secret about Belle s father that turned out nicely for her despite the hardships she faced growing up. A happiIy ever after tale. I can't wait for Anna's next book.

Marry to inherit or stay single but lose her home?

I am voluntarily submitting my honest review after receiving an ARC of this novel via NetGalley. This novel is a solid follow up to If the Duke Demands. Fans of the Capturing the Carlisles series will be happy to see Quinton and Robert Carlisle return in this novel, but it is not necessary to read the first book in the series to enjoy this one. After an engaging and entertaining prologue, the novel's start was a bit slow for me. But once I got further into the book, the tension increased my interest and the novel picked up speed and finished with a surprising and exciting ending. The injustice of Annabelle's situation and Quinton's lack of acknowledgment of his part in creating the issue makes it difficult for the reader to find any reason to like Quinton, but Annabelle is a winning soul. The witty dialogue and clean writing style make this novel a joy to read.

    Another Great Read!!

Another great read from Anna Harrington. As Annabelle approaches the deadline to gaining her inheritance, she calls the task the man that ruined her in the eyes on the Ton years before; Quinton Carlisle. Annabelle will lose the only home she has ever know if she doesn't find a husband quick. Quinton is in desperate need of funds for his venture to America. Having a wife he likes isn't in his plans. Watching the two come together against their own odds is, as always, a delight. Mr. Harrington delivers a great plot, well developed characters as well as a bit of mystery. I find her writing style easy to follow, her humor well placed, and those sexy scenes smoking. The only drawback I have is that I wish I saw more of the Carlisle brothers antics like what was shared in "Once a Scoundrel." I understand that they are older, and have matured. But, that scene where the brother were shooting off their guns was hilarious. It is what made me want to read their stories. I am having a hard time seeing these 3 brothers as the same men from the previous book. All in all, It was still a fantastic read. And certainly one I could recommend. It is also a book I will want to read over and over again. It's a keeper. I was given an advance reader's copy of the book from the author at no charge. My decision to review this book and my thoughts on the book are wholly my own.

    Loved it!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars 'When the Scoundrel Sins' by Anna Harrington is Book Two in the "Capturing the Carlisles" series. This is the story of Annabelle 'Belle' Green and Quinton Carlisle. I have read the previous book (and Loved It!) but do feel this is easily a standalone book. Belle was a homeless daughter of Lord Ainsley housekeeper who died, Belle's father was a in prison. Lord and Lady Ainsley loved her and treated her with love and she became a lady's companion for them and their daughters. Quinton is Lord and Lady Anisley great nephew and Belle has known him since she was 10 years old. Belle is a Bluestocking and Quinton always teased her but they did have a friendship. When she was 19 years old and she was having a coming out ball of sorts she and Quinton kissed. When she pressed Quinton why he kissed her at first he said it was a joke but it was not joke for Belle. It broke her heart and when she tried to get away she fell and tore her. Then she ended up be seen by some busy body ladies and her reputation was pretty much gone. Belle had talked Lord Anisley was going to force Quinton to marry her but Belle asked him not to. Belle knew how bad her parents marriage was without love and she doesn't want that. Now about six years later after the incident she will be turning 25 and the Castle Glenarvon which has been the only home she knew could be hers if she married before her 25 birthday. Lord Anisley thought he was doing a kindness in leaving the home to her with the thought if she married her father nor anyone else could take it away. But Lord Anisley as pasted and his wife has asked that Quinton come visit they before he leaves for good to America. Lady Anisley thinks Quinton can help Belle find a husband. This was another Lovely Book by Ms. Harrington! Loved Quinton and Belle's story! Capturing the Carlisles Series:, Book 0.5: How the Duke Stole Christmas, Book 1 : If the Duke Demands, Book 2: When the Scoundrel Sins, Book 3: As the Devil Dares, "My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read."

    Fantastic!

When the Scoundrel Sins by Anna Harri gton is a delightful Regency Romance. Book 2 in her exhilarating “Capturing the Carlisles” series, but it can be read as a stsnd alone. First off, I was glued to the pages of this steady paced, well written tale of love, romance, family, and finding a HEA. This is the adventure of Quinn Carlisle and Annabelle Greene, (Belle). In order to save Belle’s beloved Scottish home, on the border of Scotland, she must find an ally…..who comes to mind….her old childhood friend, Quinn. I so enjoy Anna Harrington’s writing style, it flows seamlessly and effortlessly, with grace, and emotions. Book 2 is even better than Book 1, to me, and I loved Book 1. There was something about Belle and Quinn that draws you into the story and keeps you turning pages. An absolute delight to read with a few laugh out loud moments, a few surprises and of course, the added bonus of passion and chemistry, that creates a delightful tale. If you enjoy Regency Romance, you will wish to pick up WHEN A SCOUNDREL SINS, for your next adventure. Another fantastic read by Anna Harrington! Can’t wait for the next adventure. I received a complimentary copy, however, all opinions are my own. Rating: 4.5 Heat rating: Mild Reviewed by: AprilR
