    Where lightning strikes

The torment of Tamar and Lyrik's stories is told so beautifully. Each have a past yo overcome so they then can find each other. I love the way Lyrik helps Tamar to heal in doing so heals himself. Great book

    5 Stars

5 "Boom" Stars Perfection. I feel all light and airy and impassioned and emotional at the same time. A.L. Jackson just keeps getting better. Her writing is poetry in prose with a quiet intensity that grips you from the very first word and doesn't let up. Lyrik and Tamar's story is appropriately named as their journey is infused with sparks that burn between them until they were no longer able to be contained. Tamar and Lyrik have known each other for some time since their best friends Shea and Sebastian are married and living their dreams together. Now that the band is back in Savannah after their tour, Tamar is determined to keep ignoring Lyrik and his (she tells herself) unwanted advances. She's doing everything in her power to never repeat her past mistakes and Lyrik's hostile beauty is a danger she doesn't need. She's running from a past she wants to forget but the perilous look in Lyrik's eyes calls to her even as she tries to deny it. Lyrik purposefully lives up to the bad boy rock star image. He's got demons chasing him and he's dangerously close to succumbing to them. But there is something about Tamar that calls to him. He can get any girl he wants, usually two. But he finds himself chasing after Tamar even when one of his rules is that he doesn't care. He has his loyalty and that doesn't allow him to feel things especially about someone like Tamar who has the ability to rip him wide open. As Tamar and Lyrik start to cross every line they've ever created, their passion burns brightly but so does regret, shame and bitterness. Two people so broken by their pasts that they can't see a future are combustable. But when their hearts ignite, nothing is left contain the flames. Having adored Shea and Baz's story, I thought I knew Tamar and Lyrik but I was so wrong. There was so much more to these characters than I ever anticipated. My heart absolutely broke for the two of them both separately and together. As their pasts were slowly revealed I was honestly shocked by the turns their lives took. I have to admit I never in a million years would have guessed their secrets. A.L. Jackson did such a phenomenal job of opening up these characters that I felt everything they went through. I laughed with them. Swooned with them. Was angry with them. And loved with them. Even when my heart hurt, I trusted that Ms. Jackson wouldn't let me down and boy did she ever come through for me. The ending was beyond gorgeous. I love the boys of Sunder. Both Baz and Lyrik's stories have gipped my heart and become two of my favorite rock star stories. I am absolutely giddy for more. After Baz's story I was desperate for Austin's story (which is next--yippee!) but now I am almost delirious with want for Ash and Zee's story. The beauty of Where Lightning Strikes has just proved, once again, why A.L. Jackson is one of my very favorite authors.

Heart-wrenching, Beautiful, an overall MUST READ!

This book, so aptly named, is one of the best books I've ever read. Tamar & Lyrik are just like a bolt of lightning...electric! I was lucky enough to have read this amazing new book before the release and let me tell you, that's exactly what this is...AMAZING!!! It incited so many emotions, so much feeling as I read, I could hardly stand it!! I finished yesterday and still can't get it off my mind! I was struck by the intensity and the realness of the characters. The story so powerful and deep, it latched right onto my soul. I just loved it! I loved every single thing about this story—this series even! If you have not yet read the Bleeding Stars novels, I cannot stress enough how highly I recommend it. A Stone in the Sea & Drowning to Breathe are Sebastian and Shea's stories and Where Lightning Strikes is Lyrik & Tamar's. Even though this book can be read as a stand alone, you do not wanna miss those other 2 novels as they are just as wonderful as this one! I cannot wait for more Bleeding Stars novels! AL Jackson is an extremely talented author whose books are beautifully written. They convey deep emotion...excitement, joy, angst, passion and sorrow. They're intense and powerful, seductive and sweet, sometimes even sad—just the right mix to give you one heck of a ride. I'm a die-hard fan and have absolutely loved every single one of her books. But this series, especially this book, truly holds a special place in my heart.

    Electric!

Loved, loved, loved this book. Tamar and Lyrik were electric. Both of them felt drawn to the other in an undeniable way that felt destined to either end in can't-get-that-grin-off-your-face happiness or angry misery. Happiness was something neither Tamar, nor Lyrik had experienced in years. Both were running from their pasts and A.L. Jackson did an amazing job at doling out information - enough to give me a guess at what happened, but not enough to give it away completely. I kept wanting to know more and I loved that. Each page worked toward revealing more of their vulnerabilities, their strengths, and their thoughts. They gave each other the strength to heal. Their relationship was beautiful and messy at times. Sometimes I wanted to smack Lyrik, but a lot of times he knew exactly what to say and it was perfect. I think I fell in love a little. As always, the side characters were amazing. Ash, especially, won me over. He was so charming and such a great speaker too. For fans of the previous books of the series, you'll be happy to know that Baz, Shea, and Kallie make some appearances as well. A great novel with big feels!

    Weather the storm for love

I cant even describe how many feels that this story gave me. The words just flowed and I had a hard time putting it down. When we were first introduced to Lyrik and Tamar in Stone in the Sea you could already feel the connection that they were going to have. I never imagined just how much I would fall in love with them. Lyrik and Tamar both come from a past that was hurtful to them in their own ways. Lyrik keeps beating himself up for it while Tamar runs from anyone that could cause her to hurt again. With the feelings that thy have for each they both teach other that they are more than their pasts and begin to heal. They each have to overcome so much but they weather through the storm and grow from it. After all the feelings that I've had for each Bleeding Stars book grown more and more I'm sure that by the end of the series my heart will have exploded. Thank you AL Jackson for such wonderful stories!
