  • WHILE JUSTICE SLEEPS

Enjoyed theread immensely. She belonds up there with the classic thriller writers that I regulary read eg: Lee Childs James Patterson, David Baldacci, John Grisham, Michael Conelly, Lisa Gardiner and Patrica Cornwell. Her regualr use of methaphors and similes and beautiful use of the English language is superb. My vocabulary has improved considerably. I intend to check out her other books. I don't think I will be disappointed. 10 out of 10. AND SHE' S A GREAT POLITICAN TOO.But that's another story.

  • While Justice Sleeps

This was a real page Turner. I just couldn't put it down. Every free moment...I would read, all into the wee hours of the morning. Now that I have finished it, I'll get caught up on the things unfinished, and my sleep. Keep writing Stacey.

  • A disappointing novel

Avery Keene, law clerk to Supreme Court Justice Howard Wynn, becomes embroiled in intrigue, mystery and danger in this novel by Stacey Abrams. At the crux of the story is the fact that after Justice Wynn falls into a coma, Avery is informed that Wynn has given her his power of attorney, making it her responsibility to make decisions regarding his medical condition. This responsibility leads Avery into dangerous circumstances, and it soon becomes apparent that there are conflicting issues afoot in Washington. The plot itself is quite convoluted, with a lot pages devoted to the development of a new drug. This drug is important to Wynn personally, but I found this part of the plot too long and involved. I began my reading of this novel with high hopes but about 2/3 through the book I found it plodding. The book's title, "While Justice Sleeps" is very appropriate as very unjust activities are going on, but I found this novel a disappointing read.
