    Great book!

As much as I loved the book, I will have to be honest with you. I hated a certain plot because it seemed very far-fetched. I will explain it in the last paragraph of the book, so if you don't want a tiny spoiler, don't read it. That was the only part of the book I didn't like and that's a good thing. Mellody and Fox clicked together for me and they had a lovely relationship. The secondary characters are already known and loved to those who have read the first book and to those who haven't I think they will become one of the best parts of the book. Plus in this story, we met Pearl, Mellody's grandmother and a lovely old lady who might steal a part of the spotlight. I can't wait for the third book in the series because it has become obvious to the readers and the rest of the world that the final Collins brother and his best friend are meant to be. I want to see how that will turn out and I have a suspicion that MIsty's birth mother will come into the picture and cause drama. I hope I am not right. The book was good. It had many points that won me over and I can say that the series is very good. I liked how Mellody's past was revealed and Fox's reaction to it. Now that I am thinking about it, his reaction to another thing was also very hilarious. The Collins family is very warm and kind and I want to see them more. I am recommending the book to the people who have read the first book and to those who have simply stumbled upon this review. As a reminder don't read the next paragraph if you don't want spoilers. I cannot believe how easily Mellody got pregnant since she was on the pill and they used a condom. I would have liked a better reason to force these two together and not the usual, we slept one night together and now we are having a baby despite using protection.

    Amazing story

This is the second book in the whiskey and lies series but can be read as a standalone. This is Fox and Melody’s story. They have a one night stand and Melody is gone and Fox can’t stop thinking about her! Three months later she is back to take care of her grandmother and there is still amazing chemistry between Melody and Fox! She has no interest in commitment, will they be able to make it work? Carrie Ann Ryan has written another amazing book, I can’t wait to r as her next book!!

    Loved Fox!!

This is the second book in the Collins brothers series. This is Fox’s story he is the youngest out of the three brothers but still older than the baby of the family Tabby from Montgomery Ink Series. The family is all close and loving it’s a wonderful. Even though everything is going great for Fox and his family, Fox feels like something or someone is missing. Fox can’t get a certain blonde outta his mind it was a one night stand that involved one to many shots of whiskey that night. Melody has just moved to the small town of Whiskey to start a new life and to live with her grandma Ms. Pearl and help her anyway she can but small towns nothing stays secret for long. Melody had hoped to stay under the radar but one evening as she grabs take out from the bar owned by Fox’s brother Dare she runs into the one person she’d hoped to avoid Fox. He’s the one night stand she’d hoped to forget but after seeing him the feelings toward him blossom instead of dying off and she’ll fight her hardest to deny them and him or anything they could have. Overall I loved Fox and Melody! Something about Fox just draws you in and can’t help but love him! This is a wonderful read and the storyline is amazing! Can’t wait to read more books in the series.

    So good!!

So I have an extensive background with Carrie Ann's books. I've been working may way through her works and I've read an insane amount of her books. BUT I think, so far, this is one of my favorites yet! Fox and Melody have such a complicated relationship that it made this book so much fun! I couldn't wait to see what was/or wasn't going to happen next! Then you bring in their families and BOOM we have MAGIC! The Collins brothers have a really close family, that alone brings drama and crazy things. Then, when we add in Melody's grandma, it just makes things even better! I love how this is a small town and really a small town romance. A part from Fox and Melody's families, I think a lot of the reason I loved this so much was their individual characters. Fox being a writer, of course, makes him so interesting to me as a blogger and avid reader. I think his character has such a finesse about him, much like Griffin did in Written in Ink, because he's a writer. It's almost as if his thoughts describe more, but that could just be Carrie Ann being super creative! But along those same likes I love Melody. I love how skittish she is, but determined to live her life. Really I just love these two! With the addition of some CRAZY twists and turns this was such an awesome read. I truly loved every second. There wasn't a point where I thought I needed to get past this part, or thinking it needed to move along. The pace was great, the story line was great and the character development was amazing. After reading this, I CANNOT wait for Loch's book!!!
