    Some good bits

Ah! Another book about serial killers. And, another book about the Irish obsessions with folklore and the faeries. Despite both of these, there are some intriguing, exciting and even gripping parts. The detective heroine is a bit dull but there is an interesting story line involving her ne'er do well husband's and some vicious Irish villains The USA witch hunter is the most interesting character but the resolution of the story is pretty far fetched. Good in parts but not all the way through.

    Very Dark

This is a very dark story but one that is hard to put down. Mr. Masterton has captured the Irish with his characters and ability to put the reader inside the the magical and mysterious country that is Ireland.

    White Bones

Really enjoyed the book. Having travelled all over Ireland this book stimulated memories of Cork and surrounding counties including Kerry where you need a translator since it sounds nothing like English. The main character sets the tone which has an underlying sarcastic flavour. On to Katie Maquire #2.

    White Bones

A good book with a different twist to murder and abduction for spiritual use, not all fairys are sweet and some deal in special treats!
