Amazingly, sexy, romantic and heart wrenching stor

Noah a computer genius has been living his life in his own hell. He left the love of his life to marry the mother of his child. When his wife and daughter are murdered, Noah blames himself. Yet, his one true love is always on his mind. The one who he had to break her heart in order not to become his father. Kiki, a sweet loving girl who falls head over heels in love with Noah. Her passion was singing and she way to fulfill her dreams until she has her heart shattered. A chance encounter changes their lives forever. Can Kiki find a way to forgive Noah and let him back in? Can Noah find a way to forgive himself? Or will something from the past drive them apart? Such an amazing book! J Kenner has done it again. Once you start reading you won’t be able to stop.

Have Your Cake and Eat it To

A second chance romance between Kiki (new character) and Noah (known from previous Stark books). Kiki has basically healed her broken heart and soul and now is finding balance between multiple passions. Noah is not your typical alpha male we see from the author, but a broken man looking to heal himself. Former lovers who had pretty much written each other off for valid reasons cross paths at the most inconvenient moment in a sense. This book involves deep emotions and justifiable guilt; characters who don’t realize their strengths, but have amazing friends who help them realize their abilities. The author definitely has a basic formula she follows with always a few deviations that works well and keeps me coming back for more. If you’re familiar with the Stark Universe, then you are aware of the vast number of secondary and tertiary characters that exist, who you can’t help but fall in love with and hope they get their own story. Wicked Torture is the third book of the Stark World Series and each book has been a perfect standalone novel. Everything packaged nicely in one book, not strung out or rushed. Side note, am I the only who while reading these books wonders which character will be the lead in the next book?

A gripping and emotional read that stays with you!

I love tech-geek guys, they are passionate about so much, and I love how they use their brains! Noah Carter is no exception. Wicked Torture is the third book in the Stark World series, and while it can be read as a standalone, it was very rewarding to read all them in order. Noah is torturing himself after losing the most important 3 ladies in his life. A tragedy took his wife and child, and he lost Kiki himself. When Kiki returns to his life as a possible business associate, he wants nothing more than to say no and keep her out of his life. The chemistry is combustible however, and these two can't stay away from each other. Will their pasts come back to haunt them, or will they be able to overcome all the adversity that is facing them? Ms. Kenner's writing is as impeccable as other, and Noah and Kiki have a special place in my heart. I devoured this delectable and steamy book, and have no doubt you will too!

Final Score - 5 Wickedly Awesome Stars!

They often say that the best is saved for last ... and in this case, I couldn't agree more! This was so good and I love that a few of the characters from previous Stark universe books pop up in this one. Now, you don't need to go running to read the entire series - this is a standalone, so you won't be lost if you have not read anything Stark related previously. Noah is a character we previously were introduced to in the S.I.N. series. He worked with Dallas and the Deliverance organization, but now he is heading up SATA in Austin for Stark Industries. He's suffered real loss - his wife and child were kidnapped and murdered 10 years before the book starts. It's something he's never gotten over and its what driven him. Kiki King has also suffered read loss - the love of her life walked out on her and she's never really gotten over it. It has fueled both her personal and professional lives in different ways - she's driven to succeed in her marketing business after having abandoned her music career, but keeps men from entering her heart. After a blind date, Noah wanders into a bar he frequents. There, someone on stage catches his attention. Kiki is performing for the first time in more than 10 years. She gets off stage and catches a glimpse of a red headed man. Chasing him down, Noah and Kiki come face to face for the first time in more than 10 years. At one time, they were happy & in love, the truest definition of soulmates who were even engaged. That is until Noah left, and Kiki - who was devastated at his loss - left her singing career. Can these two former lovers overcome their complicated past to forge a new future together? Or will the past rear it's ugly head and drive them further apart? This book was packed with emotion - so much so I was a crying mess with a terrible headache afterwards. But it was so worth reading Noah & Kiki struggling to achieve their second chance at happiness. J. Kenner knows how to do angst, emotional overload, and happy endings like no other! She's my definite go to person - #oneclick. Each time she opens a new series set in the Stark universe, I'm there! I can't wait for the next adventure. *** I received an exclusive ARC of this book ***

    Loved it

I love reading about all the Stark characters. The pull between doing what his heart wants and what he thinks is right...consumes Noah. Past hurts are just that. Can Kiki move forward with this knowledge? Can a decade away soothe these too? Or will the past forever haunt them?
