"Wild Fever" - Book 1 in the Chiasson series

I just finished reading this novella February 21, 2018. This is my review. I liked this introductory book in the Chiasson series. The book is a novella and reads very quickly. The concept for the series is that the Chiasson brothers, Vincent, Lincoln, Beau and Christian, are paranormal hunters, keeping their territory safe from all kinds of paranormal creatures. They also have a sister, Riley, who is going to college away from home and kept away from the dangers of hunting. In this first book of the series, the main characters are Vincent and Olivia. Vincent and his brothers are on the hunt for a creature that has killed three times in the last week. They don't even know what kind of creature they are dealing with because it disappears every time. When he finds out that the creature is after Olivia, the woman he's always wanted but could never have, he's determined to keep her safe. I honestly don't want to say too much more because I'd be spoiling the whole story for you. As stated, the story is a novella and moves very quickly. Each characters' background is established pretty much right away so you know the history between the main characters. The romance between them is passionate and lustful and very fast because there really is no time to set up a long romance in a novella. But it works well with this story. Family secrets are revealed for both Vincent and Olivia. Overall, this story is short, quick and to the point. The story line kept me interested the whole time. If you need a quick paranormal romance fix with a little mystery thrown in, I would recommend this book. I look forward to reading the rest of the series as well as the spin-off/connected series, The LaRue series. (NOTE: At the time of this review, both the Chiasson (5 books) and the LaRue (4 books) series are finished. All books are novellas.)
