  • An enchanting romance

Wild for You was an enchanting romance. That captured me from the very first page, and never let go, so much, so I ended up reading it in one sitting. As Grant was everything: sweet, sexy, soft, stubborn, and just the perfect match for Ana who, after leaving her abusive boyfriend Jason and moving in with Grant wasn't looking for anything more than friendship. Yet Grant's caring, quiet pursuit of Ana never wavered even when Ana built up so many walls and was determined to strike out on her own. And honestly, that's what I loved most about this story, the feelings it created in me, the warmth, the sadness and even the frustration as Ana pulled away from the most wonderful and surprising character I think I've ever read about. So, if you're looking for a romance full of feeling, wonderful characters, and a delightful happy ending you should definitely one click Wild for You, even if you've not read any of the earlier books in the series as this can easily be read as a stand alone. **I was kindly provided with an ARC via Booksprout in exchange for an honest review**

  • Oh Grant

I wanted Grant's story since we first met him! I just knew that he would have SUCH a story! He's so big, growly and just so strong and silent. And that intrigued me from the beginning! Grant and Ana's story is so perfect and might be my favorite of the Hot Jocks series so far! Grant is totally swoon-worthy and just totally perfect. For being such a big, sullen guy, he was so sweet, and gallant and caring with Ana. He's totally a teddy bear packed in the hockey captain package and I'm here for all of it! Ana is trapped in a violent relationship and Grant swoops in and saves her from the situation once Ana calls him. And Ana becomes his roommate to both of their surprises. Yep, I think Grant might be my favorite of the Hot Jocks!

  • One of the best!

Kendall Ryan's Hot Jocks series has been one that I have enjoyed from the outset. I think this book, Wild for You, might be the one I've been waiting for the most because it is about team captain Grant and it did not disappoint. If anything, this one surprised me because Grant was not what I was expecting! Grant is not only the team captain, but he's older, quiet and can be pretty stubborn at times too. He's the only one that isn't in a relationship and while he's okay with that, he sees how different it is for his teammates that are paired off. Ana has found herself in an abusive relationship with one of Grant's teammates and when she has finally had enough, she uses the phone number Grant gave her the night he innocently gave her a ride home when she was left stranded. She never expected to use the number, but he was the one person she knew she could count on. When Ana moves in with Grant so she can stay safe and under the radar, a friendship forms between the two and it's absolutely wonderful to witness. Grant is just as Ana describes him, like a caramel, hard on the outside and soft on the inside. Is there more than a friendship that will develop between these two? Grant was not at all what I was expecting and I LOVE that. He was so tender, caring, thoughtful and just all around wonderful. He was so generous and open with Ana, which I think in turn helped him to grow as well. Ana was great and I loved that she wanted to be independent, but also knew she had people she could count on. I adored this story and I am anxiously awaiting Jordie's book!

  • Swoony hero and soul-searching heroine

This is so gorgeously romantic. My heart bloomed and squeezed in rollercoaster waves with this beautiful story. Oh, Grant, for a grumpy hockey player, you are a true hero for a damsel in distress. I have read several books in this series about different hockey players and their women, and let me swear to you that this one is swoon-worthy. Grant and his big physique, his reserved personality, his generous heart and chivalrous concern, and above all his protective nature. He is so lovable! My heart was at his feet in no time :-D I wanted to read his tale when it was hinted at in the previous book. He steps up to offer help and shelter to a woman whose boyfriend was being less than honourable. You can't imagine the level of sweetness these two share. They are sensuously drawn to each other, yet the pull is strong in other terms. She is welcoming and affectionate, he is a safe harbour in the middle of a storm and incredibly thoughtful and endearing. I fell in love with their interactions as he protects and cares for her, and she basks in his emotional embrace. And oh wow when they also interact in bed. It's melting hot. The plot takes a turn when their intimacy brings consequences. My tender heart broke a few times when her fight for independence, totally understandable and cheered for, causes this rift between them. Oh, be still, my battered romantic side. It's painful when characters have to go through some growth before they reach their happily ever after, right? I appreciate all the atention and detail devoted to her state, even though there's an issue around it which was a bit off putting, but also rendered the story more original. Anyway, it payed off in the end because it gave Grant another chance to be supportive of Ana once more. Friendship from the other couples filled some wonderful scenes, and the closing chapters really touch the heart. i wasn't expecting a dramatic news, but it added an extra layer to this complicated romance that starts with a dejected girlfriend and ends with a precious family. Dare I say it's my favourite in the series? Oh, my.

  • Loved It

Book 6 in the Hot Jocks series and each book can be read as a standalone. This time, it was Grant’s turn to have his story told and let me just say that Grant and Ana’s story was amazing. Grant was there for Ana when she needed a friend after her relationship turned bad and she needed to leave. The way he stayed there for her even when she kept him at a safe distance was a little frustrating to watch because you can see the love he had for her. He wouldn’t let her push him away. Loved their whole journey from friends to lovers. Great read and I can’t wait to read what is next in the Hot Jocks series. I read an early review copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
