This book gave me all the feels!!!

4.5 STARS! Wild Highway is book two in Devney Perry's Runaway series and is filled with lots of small-town loving! We first meet Gemma in book one, Runaway Road, and she is a member of the Junk Yard crew (a group of runaways). Now, she's wealthy and successful but she's still lost and hasn't found her way just yet. She decides to take the plunge, sells her company and rides off in the Red Cadillac to Montana to make amends with Katherine (a fellow Junk Yard friend) and while there she runs into (literally) Easton, the guy she once crushed on and left behind. Easton Greer is one fine cowboy, folks. He's the definition of brooding and he does it so well #sigh. He's a total jerk towards Gemma but for good reason. After sharing one night together, she left him high and dry, no note. No explanation then returns 11 years later 😬. One thing you must know about Easton is he's one stubborn man. He was truly hurt after Gemma left and neither ever really got over the other. Gemma and Easton are electrifying! Their banter and arguing is intense and sweet all at once! Everything between them was sexy and hot, and it will leave you swooning. I just couldn't get enough of these two! This book gave me all the feels, so much so, that at one point I found myself misty-eyed. Honestly, this book is probably Devney's angstiest and she delivered some tough points with so much finesse. Gemma's pain and sorrow was truly felt 😢. This series is just utter perfection!! Katherine's book is next and I cannot wait!! *I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.*

    Beautiful book!

Love this book so much! Wild Highway is the second book in the awesome Runaway series by Devney Perry. Gemma Lane is my new favorite heroine by Devney. She’s strong even though she doesn’t think she is. But she is also lonely and just wanted to belong somewhere. My heart broke for her. She had a tough life and even though she had build an empire she felt very lonely. Gemma is taking a car to California but takes a detour to Montana to visit a friend and ask for forgiveness for something that happened 11 years ago. Easton Greer can’t believe that Gemma is back after 11 years and he wants her gone. Holly Hot Cowboy!! Easton was perfect for Gemma and their chemistry was hot. At first he was an jerk to Gemma but in my opinion it was completely justified. But then he began to see Gemma without the facade she had put on. One scene in the final chapter was so beautiful and so wonderfully written. It was like watching a movie. Devney Perry is an awesome storyteller. This book is beautiful and this series is becoming one of my favorites and can’t wait to read about the other runaways. My Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ STARS

    Absolutely stunning!

OH my stars! I had tears. Legit. Everyone knows I do not cry as a rule and it takes a lot. Well, Devney Perry has been added to that list! This is such a raw emotional story of a woman trying to find her place again after she achieved what she wanted and thought it was enough for her. The story of these girls is heartbreaking, but Gemma is a force that cannot be stopped. Her going back to Montana to mend relationships really hits you in the feels. But with Easton, that man is a wall. He has so much balled up angry at Gemma. Watching things play out and how things implode was heart shattering. Their chemistry is sizzling off the charts but it is their emotional connection too. It is beyond intense. I will say that this series is becoming a favorite of mine. Which is insane hard because Perry writes such stunning stories. There is just something about Wild Highway that will grasp your heartstrings, twist you up, have you in tears and so much more. I was blown away by this story. The fluidity, the character build, the chemistry. Absolutely everything. You need this book in your life!

    4 stars

A slowish burn, second chance/enemies to lovers story, I really enjoyed the emotional connection and the chemistry between the main characters. This series has a different feel to it compared to Devney Perry’s other series, I’m super interested to see what happens in the next book!

    What a beautiful ride!

Get ready for another ride in the Cadillac as Gemma continues its journey to California and the elusive Karson. But first she is making a pit stop in Montana to make amends with Katherine, who she left behind for her life in Boston--along with Easton Greer. Will she find the forgiveness she seeks as well as a second chance at love? This is a must read book with all the feels! 5 stars
