    Thanks for your feedback!

    I didn't think of her as a narcissist ...

I was skeptical when my therapist recommended this book. My mother was not the sitcom narcissist, obsessed with beauty. But in the book I found a broader view, and saw her self-absorption, her need to make me into a mirror of herself, and her need to punish me for the things she disliked about herself. It also gave a new perspective on my family and how it orbited around her. It's been very helpful in dumping her toxic influence and rebuilding my own identity.

    Thanks for your feedback!

Very informative book. Answered a lot of questions that have been troubling me all my life. I thought I was the crazy one and that I was the problem ( as I've been told all my life) until I found this book. Finally, I know why I struggled with recurrent depression and low self esteem all my life . Why all the self- help books about low esteem I bought didn't make sense to me. They didn't provide the answers/ explanations that I was looking for, until I found this book. I highly recommend this book for anyone who has narcissistic mother . This book will give you the clarity and hopefully pave the way to your recovery.

    Not one I would recommend

The writing is boring at nest and the author seems to think the whole world is all straight women looking for mother fulfillment in their relationships with men. Related to the author's experience? Definitely. But her research is shaky at best. Not something I'd look into if you want any kind of solution ideas or perspective. Highly disappointed.
