I'm not of the Jewish faith, I'm of Puerto Rican descent. But I always have been interested in the history of WW2, and the truly horrific suffering of the Jewish and all others persecuted by the Nazi's. I think it's very important to teach our children about racial biases. I'm 48 years old and I remember learning of the Holocaust when I was in grade school and I could not believe that humans can do this to people, I already knew about the African slave trade and was astounded by what indignities they suffered. But I began looking at the history of racial abuse when I was in high school and I realized it's been happening for for thousands of years. I really appreciate the courage of love and faith all survivors have shown by telling us pampered people who have not even seen war on our shores, what they went through. They are an inspiration.

    Good read

This book shows us the courage and willingness one possesses despite incomprehensible and inhuman situations. A graphic testimony which will leave you questioning humanity and what humans are capable of, is clearly shown in this book. Two humans divided by hate and united by their courage and will power to live makes this book worthwhile.

What a wonderful book and the courage and resilience shown by these two beautiful people brought tears to my eyes. Their dedication to educating people about the Holocaust is remarkable.

This is a great book for an insight to the holocaust as it does not sugar coat the harsh reality faced by prisoners, this is also a vivid love story with two great people who are making a great difference by sharing their experiences with others,
