  • Windigo Island

Thoughtful joining of harsh reality and First Nations spirituality. Excellent handling of a very real and difficult subject. Thank you.

  • Yet another winner

The entire Cork O'Connor series is one of the best thriller series ever written, and this latest is no exception. Besides riveting, the plots are well thought-out, and the intermingling of thriller entertainment with psychology and social issues is always perfectly balanced. They're not "dumb" books of the Ludlum variety, but they are also not preachy. Krueger writes with obvious compassion for every character including the "perps", and this helps bring the whole thing to life. The fact that the series takes place in exotic :) rural Minnesota is just the icing on the cake. Looking forward to the next one.
