  • Not as good as the first

I was a little disappointed with this book. At times it seemed like the author as just filling pages.

    Thanks for your feedback!

  • Ken Follett's books tell inside stories of true facts about history that probably are not known by the average reader. The information in this trilogy (one book still to come) contains so much history made more believable as told by his fictictious characters. I have not read all of his books but the four I have read keep my interest to the last page. True facts in Winter of the World are still as miserable as if I was there alongside his fictional person. I am looking forward to the last book in this series.

  • Absolutely great! The book has several characters who intertwine, sometimes unknowingly, with each other. During my time reading I wanted to know who was going to do what next. It is a page turner.

  • Historian

Ken Follett gives an insight of why and how the Second WW developed through the eyes of different families, ending with the fall of the Iron curtain. Well written and cathcing!
