    I enjoyed this book

After reading the previous review I was intrigued, so decided to buy this book and I'm pleased I did. I really enjoyed the story and the twists. I agree that maybe it didn't have the expected happy ending, but then is that such a bad thing? It was interesting end to a good read.

    Winterbay Abbey: A Ghost Story

A proper, traditional, by-the-fireside ghost story. Not too scary or gory, but enough to cause a shiver and make sure the curtains are closed!

    Winterbay Abbey

Quiet a good read leaving you guessing up to the last page.

Similar to many other "abandoned" building novels.

Sadly, while the author did a good job, the story line is the same as so many other "abandoned" hotel, sanitarium, mansion and hospital novels. I skipped paragraphs, then chapters. I was relieved when at the last page..

    Winterbay Abbey

First ghost story I've read in a long time. The three main characters are all damaged individuals and supporting characters are unlikable. The whole scenario is grey and colourless making the book hard to continue with. There is also a subplot governing the two central characters that is never completely explained. This book could have been expanded by a couple more chapters to flesh out the main players so we could feel some empathy for them. Alternatively, a prequel and certainly a sequal would give the reader more satsfaction.
