    Winter's Tale

Love it! I wish there was more to the story and how she was able to save him.

    Wow!

This book was just amazing. The goblin king was confused and angry at times. The books really grasped me and my feelings in a way i couldnt even imagine possible. elisabeth had loved the goblin king and sacrificed her life for him, but had been granted back her life. So touching. If i were in the place of the goblin king i would be very afraid to let go, but to hold on as well. If i were in elisabeths place, i would hold on forever. To excperience love with someone immortal would be challenging. And when josefs truthcame out, that he secretly was dead, it gave me a voice that i wanted to share. I would explain the events of this book every timei finished readin, becaue it truly was an amazing book. The end part, where the lorelei were drowning and dragging elisabeth, i honestly lost my breath. It really makes you feel the emotions that the character is excperiancing. I was begging to read one more chapter everytime i needed t avert my attention to somthing else. I could read this book again and till be enthrobed. Im excited to read the next book. Overall amazing book

    Interesting retelling

Exquisitely crafted, Wintersong is a dark fantasy that presents our protagonist Liesl, as a talented musical composer who makes a deal with the underground Goblin King to protect her family, but ends up feeling something deeper for her captor. So I loved the writing and the world which S.Jae-Jones creates. On par with Sarah J Maas' Court of Thorns and Roses, Wintersong is definitely a dark and sexy thrill ride. It certainly lives up to the Beauty and the Beast comparisons while amping up all those sexual tones that we all chose to ignore while watching Labyrinth. But I found myself not wanting to linger with Goblin King and(internally) screaming for Liesl to run for the hills. There was something very unsettling about this book. I know this is rather ironic since I have devoured many similar B&B retellings prior to reading this one. It's rather left me a bit unsettled. Original review posted on Goodreads 03/03/19
