    Quick Christmas Read

With This Christmas Ring by Manda Collins is an awesome holiday read. This is a fairly short read, perfect for those with limited time for reading. Ms Collins has given us a well-written book and loaded it with amazing, lovable characters. Alex and Merry's story is a second chance romance that is heartwarming and entertaining. There is plenty of drama, action, humor and spice to keep readers invested in the story. I totally adored this quick Christmas read and look forward to reading more from Manda Collins in the future. With This Christmas Ring is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger. I voluntarily read an Advance Reader Copy of this book that I received from NetGalley.

This is just the right story to get you into the Christmas spirit early. These characters are likable and easy to cheer on toward a happy ending. The plot is filled with warmth and depth and so much love. It was an all around feel good type of read. *I received a complimentary copy of this story from NetGalley and St. Martin's Press in order to read and provide a voluntary, unbiased and honest review, should I choose to do so.

    Historical Romance

With This Christmas Ring by Manda Collins Merry Parks has not had a reason to see the man she once was betrothed to – not for five long years. When a friend dies in childbirth Merry takes it upon herself to put the new babe, Lottie, in the hands of the Ponsonby family so the father, William, can raise her. That means she must contact Alexander, Lord Wrotham – the man who was once her fiancé. When they meet the chemistry is still there AND Alexander wants to know why Merry left so suddenly when all seemed so perfect between them. With a trip to the family estate, a baby girl to give to her father, a domineering grandmother to face, daunting social scenes to deal with and Christmas in the air – well – it is not as easy as waving a magic wand and saying abracadabra for Merry and Alexander to find their HEA – but eventually they do. This is a Christmas story with a bit of drama that includes a second romance on the side. If you are looking for a quick easy Christmas read set in the past that includes a second chance at love for two deserving people then this might be the book for you. Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press – Swerve for the ARC – this is my honest review. 3-4 Stars

Sweet second chance Christmas love story!

This story is a second chance love story. Five years ago Miss Merry Parks was betrothed to Alex Ponsonby, the Viscount Wrotham but because of some manipulating by Alex's grandmother, the Dowager Viscountess Wrotham, Merry called it off and left Alex. Now, Merry has promised her friend Charlotte Smithson, on her deathbed, that she would take care of her daughter Lottie and find the baby's father. Charlotte was secretly married to William Ponsonby, cousin of Alex. Merry had heard that Alex was back in London and decides to go see him and ask for help in finding William. One look at Merry and it is obvious that Alex is still in love with her and he decides right there and then that he is going to win her heart again and what a better time to do that then during Christmas. It was a sweet and fun story seeing these two get to their happy ending. Five years of time didn't dim their feelings at all. I enjoyed the time that was spent at the Keep, the Wrotham family home, during the Christmas season. It was fun seeing how they spent their holidays and the ending of it was just perfect. Overall I really enjoyed this book and would highly recommend it.
