  • OMG 😭

4.75 You should know by now that Natasha Knight is one of my favorite author: from the moment i found out about her, with Salvatore, i read almost every book she released in these years. She always makes me fall in love deeply with her characters. With this ring is the first part of Cristiano and Scarlett' story. I'm not gonna tell you anything about the story per se, because the beauty of reading a book is to discover every detail as you scroll through the pages.... But i can tell you this: it's intense and gonna drive you crazy! Everyone lie and even if they are enemies, Cristiano and Scarlett can only trust each others. But when trust is the only thing you can't afford, even an omission can cause terrible damages... The author throws us in the middle of the action from the first chapter. The fast pace keep you interested and on the edge of your sitting waiting for the next twist. All those secrets keep you glued to the story trying to understand who is good and who is bad. Scarlett is so brave, despite everything she endured. She doesn't bow to anyone and face Cristiano with her head high. Cristiano is broken and scarred. His only purpose is vengeance and last thing he needs is that girl but he is so alone and surrounded by enemies... Gosh my heart ached for him 💔💔💔 I loved the way they interact to each others but we only get a glimpse of what they could be, so i'm eager for more... And after that cliffhanger i'm dying to have the second part of their story !!!

  • Captivating!

This is the first book in the To Have and To Hold Duet, a dark mafia romance. Scarlett and Cristiano's story is captivating! This is an arranged marriage mafia romance. Scarlett is a Cartel Princess. She is such a strong, smart and brave beautiful woman. Cristiano is ruthless, handsome, dark, possessive, and broken. Their relationship is raw, intense, and unexpected. The storyline is suspenseful, intriguing, and enthralling, filled with revenge, secrets, danger, and twists and turns. The story ends with a cliffhanger, and I can't wait to read I Thee Take, the second installment in the duet.

Whenever I see Natasha has written a new book I MUST have it. I will do anything to have it. With this Ring is the definition of a Natasha Knight story. It has the dread that everyone feels when you know something bad is coming, the mystery you want, the alpha male you want to love/hate, and the female character you sometimes you wish you were. With this Ring is the perfect start to this duet and it will leave you hanging for more. Thank goodness we don't have a long time to wait.

  • Captivating

What I did after I was after the first chapters is drawing a relationship diagram between the many people and their roles in this book. After that the connections became easier to understand. That might be an improvement to add an overview on the cast this to the next edition. Cristiano was 6 years in a coma and lost nearly all his memories beside the night, where he had to watch his family get murdered. The story starts with the revenge for this event, but soon it becomes clear that not everybody is, what they seam. Starting with political reasoning Cristiano forces Scarlett into a marriage with him, but soon it develops into something more. This is in fact half a book, but since the second volume is already out you don't have to suffer a cliff hanger if you are prepared to buy the second volume, too.
