Fen & Hunter don't do things the easy way ever!

Fen and Hunter don't like to do things the easy way, ever?! As always there's a lot going on in this story but there is more at stake than ever before. This is the 3rd story in the Alpha Underground books about Fen and Hunter both of whom featured in the original Wolf Rampant trilogy?! My reading order was just right for me, which was more by luck than planning, with book 1 Half Wolf, then Dark Wolf Adrift which is a linked book which gives insight into Hunter, followed by Book 2 Lone Wolf Dawn and finished off with Book 3 Wolf Landing. As with all the books mentioned above there was a good sense of humour alongside a solid moral compass all accompanied by feisty but not overbearing females.

Truly made the end just perfect!

I am going to miss Fen and Hunter, the whole gang and all the characters in the Alpha Underground series. Kept my mind engaged with excitement and anticipation, always wondering Fen’s next step. The loyalty and devotion to the Bloodlings is truly felt. I really like Fen and her Wolfe, their banters, their playfulness got me giggling but one particular part that got to me when Fen thought, “ Arguing with me was one thing. Trying to eat a human corpse was something else entirely.” The constant push and pull between them I really liked. Always the hunt for answers with or without the fang or claws I was totally drawn in to the Alpha Underground series. This story truly made the end just perfect. The author kept the story so interesting, her writing made it easy to focus on the protagonist and the side characters with so much enthusiasm. I read many books from this genre, this particular author managed to keep me rotted in this genre. Thank you! I will be reading more from this author. Received a free digital copy in exchange for a review. Thank you again, Darlene Cruz

Another great addition to the series

I really loved this book. It has a little bit of everything. There is love, conflict, mystery, and some alpha showdowns. The book begins with Fen working with the one-body Robert on another in a string of murders that appear to be committed by a shifter, but Fen can find no sniff of a shifter. On the home front there is the upcoming All-pack where Fen hopes to have her pack recognized by the other packs and her territory upheld. When a ram is killed on the night of the pack run, things get hairy with the locals that blame one of the "dogs" for the kill. On top of that, the council enforcer that used to employ Hunter is sniffing around and has brought Hunter's replacement along for the ride. Join Fen and company as they battle to save themselves and their new home. Will they finally get to have the kind of pack they want? I sure hope we get more books on other pack members! I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily reviewed it, as I do all the books I read.

    Leader of her own pack

Fen stories had been very interesting, full of action and suspense and with strong characters that kept my interest. In this final installment, she was fighting for a territory for her group and the right to be considered pack. Many obstacles were in her way and she and her mate were faced with a new Enforcer, murders, kidnapping and a threat to Fen and her wolf. Fen character had learned and grow a lot since her first story and her relationship with Hunter was solid. Enjoyed the plot development, the intrigue, the detailed descriptions and narrations and how they became pack. The author kept me reading avidly with all the action and suspense in the story. Love the stories that stimulate my imagination and made me feel and understand the characters and this one I liked a lot.
