    Wolf Wanted by Marie Harte

WOLF WANTED is the second installment in Marie Harte’s adult Mark of Lycos paranormal/fantasy, erotica, romance series. This is twenty five year old werewolf Anson Barton, and four hundred year old half demon/half wolf William ‘Liam’ Masterson’s story line. WOLF WANTED can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. The events of book one-ENEMY RED-run parallel to the events of Wolf Wanted-book two. NOTE: WOLF WANTED contains graphic sexual situations involving M/M sex including anal and oral, group sex (orgies), ménage and multiples, bondage and one scene of non-consent that may be a trigger for some readers. Told from third person point of view WOLF WANTED is a highly sexualized story line of fated mates. Anson is a werewolf, descended from Lycos royalty, and an alpha who is unwilling to kill for control of the pack. On the eve of his arranged mating, Anson is magically transported to Germany where he will come face to face with his future- Liam Masterson-prince of the Athmae lust demons (succubus)-whose wolf side has been spelled by an evil sorceress. What ensues is a sexually aggressive courtship between Liam and Anson-a courtship and mating frenzy that Anson refuses to acknowledge or accept but a mating that Liam requires to set his wolf free. WOLF WANTED has a large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters, many of whom are members of Liam’s ‘pack’. As a half-wolf, Liam needs the closeness of the pack but because he is also half-demon his lust and succubus instincts are heightened and sometimes out of control. Liam is the Prince of a species where sex is a very large part of their every day life. With very few females, the Athmae have accepted the same sex couples as the norm. Folklore and history reveals deities and gods, one who possesses the physical to take what he wants from an unsuspecting wolf. We are witness to numerous acts of sexual aggression, sexual pleasure and heightened need between our leading couple, as well as a large number of the secondary characters that easily slide in and out of the sexual frenzy and orgies. A large portion of the story line focuses on the sex and the sexual relationship between Liam and Anson, and Anson’s struggle to accept Liam as his mate. The story line conflict involving Liam and the sorceress is lost to the numerous sex scenes throughout the book. Almost secondary or tertiary to the plot, the battle for Liam’s freedom is anti-climactic, and over too quickly. Anson’s return to the Great Forest of Alaska crosses over into book one- ENEMY RED where Anson’s twin Fenris finds his own mate and an expanded Silver Clan Pack. WOLF WANTED is a story of M/M erotica with graphic sexual situations including same sex orgies, ménage and multiples but I felt the amount of sex overshadowed the story line premise and conflict-- such is the nature of erotica fiction. There is one scene of questionable consent that is disconcerting and alarming that may not be suitable for all readers. If you are a fan of the paranormal, M/M erotic romances, then I suggest WOLF WANTED.
