    Romantic Comedy at its Best

What a perfect way to start a new series with a 5 star review and Work in Progress has certainly left me with lots of anticipation for the rest of the Cook County Series. This author knows how to give her fans romantic comedy and this book is rom com at its best. April hasn’t had it easy as a single mum she has had many challenges in her life and after her ex husband left her she is bringing up her adorable son Axel with the help of her mother in law. Life is crazy busy with shifts as a nurse at the local hospital and any spare time is spent with Axel so there is never any alone time for this loving mum and the last thing she needs is a new neighbour disturbing her sleep after a long shift...... Jamie has just started renovating the house he is trying to flip and even though he feels remorse for disturbing his feisty neighbours sleep he can’t help riling her up. Who would have thought he would end up with such a gorgeous neighbour..... An instant attraction and lots of witty banter all help make this a great read, it’s a book that will captivate you it will make you laugh and it will leave you smiling like a Cheshire Cat and once you add in the adorable Axel you get perfection. I fell in love with every character in this book and I’m excited for the rest of the series. This is romantic comedy at its best.

    Wonderful characters, easy read

This story had me smiling, giggling, tearing up a couple times, and interested in the characters. April and Jamie made a great couple. Loved Jamie's instant attraction to April and her son. April was protective, fun, and patient. The Cook brothers and family were wonderful as well. I look forward to reading more in this series. I highly recommend this book. I received a copy of this story through Enticing Journey Book Promotions, and this is my unsolicited review.

    Love & Laughs

Jamie Cook has become my new favorite hot guy *sigh*. To say I fell hard for him is an understatement. He’s hot (did I mention), smart, funny (was definitely laughing a lot throughout this book), hot (worth mentioning again), and very good with his hands, in more ways then one. He also can completely melt your heart with his sweet and giving ways. Basically, total love. April is sassy and feisty and can keep up with him, and they are so adorable together, when they’re not arguing, which is pretty funny. And don’t get me started on Axel. That kid had me totally cracking up every time I saw his name. Add in 3 hot brothers, 1 hot brother in law, 1 hot best friend, and Abi, and you have the makings of an epic new series that I can’t wait to read more of. BJ Harvey just keeps getting better!!!

    Great Read!!!

What a fun, entertaining and sexy read!! Work In Progress is a great start to BJ Harvey’s newest series…..Cook County Series. This series is a spin off from Ms. Harvey’s Game Series. Each of these books will be about the Cook Brothers. We first met the Cook Brothers in the Game series because they are Abi’s brothers (Game Saver) No the Game series doesn’t have to be read first to enjoy this newest book. There are some characters we see from previous books, but it isn’t something that will confuse the reader or feel like they are missing something. Each book in this series is a standalone novel. Work In Progress, like I said , is the first in this series. It is told in Dual POV. I thought this book was filled with humor and love. I absolutely loved the banter between Jamie and April. But Axel, the mischievous 6 year old, really stole the show for me. I fell completely in love with that little boy. Once you read this book you will see why. In this book we follow Jamie and April’s story. Jamie is the oldest of the Cook siblings and has decided to take his life in a new direction. He wants to buy and flip houses. Little did he know the purchase of his first house project would change his life for good. April is a single mom who works as a nurse. Little did she know that when she goes next door to tell the neighbor to turn down his music, it changes her life for good. I loved both Jamie and April’s characters. They were a perfect match for each other. The banter between these two definitely had me laughing out loud. But as I said Axel Rhodes stole my heart :) You are going to want to meet this cast of characters. I loved getting to know all of the Cook Siblings. I can’t wait to read each of their stories. BJ Harvey is and will always be one of my All Time Favorite authors. I will read anything she writes. He stories always captivate me and are truly entertaining reads. Her’s are books I know will be read over and over again. If you haven’t had the pleasure of reading her books yet, start by picking up Work In Progress, and then sit back and enjoy the journey that her books take you on.

    All work and no play...😉

Work in Progress is definitely the kind of home improvement I can get behind. I'm a klutz, an accident waiting to happen so it's in my best interest to keep power tools, nails, and hammers (oh my!) far, far away from me. This DIY flipper and his new neighbor have chemistry oozing from them. Add in a smile inducing, rambunctious six year old to the mix, it's kryptonite to any romantic. With sass and spunk, our heroine had me at hello- even if it took forever to "learn" her name. Work in Progress had me smiling, snickering, and wishing I had started reading BJ Harvey a long time ago! No time like the present to catch up!
