    Edgy Characters, Exceptional Writing!

In book two of Alexandra Hawkins’ Masters of Seduction series, You Can't Always Get The Marquess You Want, long buried secrets refuse to stay hidden as destiny takes hold. The main characters names, Chance and Tempest, aptly describe the mood of this novel as risk and turmoil in the pursuit of love populate the pages of this story. Born into families who are bitter enemies, moments of humor and strength of character softened the harsh past that influenced the relationship of the hero and heroine as well a refreshing artless and sincere attraction. As is the norm with Ms. Hawkins, don't expect courtly love but raw unadulterated decadence bedecked in minimal civility as she brings true rogues into the drawing rooms of her latest Regency. This author pushes the envelope with subject matter and behavior that elicit feelings ranging from shock to compassion and always commands her reader’s undivided attention. With an affinity for edgy character portrayals and exceptional writing skills Alexandra Hawkins adds another triumph to her acclaimed and extensive body of work in You Can’t Always Get The Marquess You Want! *I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.* *While Part of a series this book can be read as a stand alone.*
