    Stubborn mates

Tisha and Zac were a great couple. Both had good hearts, kindness and seemed kind of shy. The relationship between the two main characters starts off rocky but they always seem to find their way. Tisha is from money but she doesn't flaunt it. She takes pride in paying her way. Zac feels like he is the black sheep of the family, he just doesn't seem like he can get a break and feels like a failure if he asks for help. Danger is always present adding suspense and keeping you on the edge of your seat. I just loved Landon's contribution to this story, he also has a big heart and loves those Deuce boy's as his own. With the overlapping of stories, characters and family interactions the author allows the reader to see the growth of the people we have come to care about. As the last book in the series, we are privileged in being allowed to see a glimpse into the future, getting some closure and saying good bye to a family that slipped into our hearts as we turned the pages. Another series ends but I hope this author has more ideas to keep us entertained. I volunteered to read this story for my honest opinion

Kathi goes out with a bang on series end!

Ugh what a way to tug at the heartstrings! All Tisha wanted to do was teach. But a psycho has it out for her, and has left her for dead in her house on the same day a bomb goes off in the school. She was their #1 suspect until Detective Harlan James finds her with what is bloody notes of who and what her attacker did to her. While she's on the mend she is living with her father, but knows she needs to get back out and start living on her own. She's found a beautiful Victorian home that she wants to look at and hopefully buy for her new start. However, unbeknownst to Tisha, her new start involved a very determined cowboy/cougar who is claiming she is his mate. Zachery is the last single Douglas. He's been keeping his problems to himself as to not be a hindrance to the rest of the family. But the Douglas clan sticks together and will do whatever it takes to help out Zach whether he wants it or not. When his first open house comes to pass, he never expected the woman who would complete him to walk through the door. **"Zach, am I really your mate?" "No. You're more than're my everything."** Kathi sure does know how to end a series! I absolutely love getting the extended epilogue that gives us a bit of how the family is and what they've done in the future. However, I will say it's a tear jerker as well, and I would expect no less from Kathi!
