Not Nearly Enough; Not Worth It

I rate this 1 star for the following reasons. Another misleading title; “Boyfriend” would be more accurate. The editing is poor. Literally, in two places in the book, the reader must read back a couple of pages, then forward a couple of pages to be able to figure out which characters are involved and doing what because the names are transposed back and forth. Third, although the author strives to IMPLY the wife, Erin, consents, she has multiple strong drinks, is unable to walk on “wobbly legs”, is semi-conscious and is unaware of who is banging her at certain moments. A drunk woman and a handjob are pretty much the same. Finally, the first half of the book is at best average - going on dull. The story involves a white hotwife couple already well into the lifestyle who plan a short 3-day vacation. Hubbie’s work prevents him from going so wife Erin is allowed to take her black lover in Hubby’s place. And, because of that replacement, the bull is Erin’s pretend “Substitute Fourth ”. There are a couple of really silly parts to this book. And - surprise, surprise - Erin and her black boyfriend have sex on the vacation. Too much of the story lacks heat. The book doesn’t become remotely interesting until the last fifth, in terms of Erin’s awakening (an amateurish evolution), Erin’s submission (accomplished both with orgasm denial, the good, and excessive alcohol, the bad). The problem with the last piece of the book is the author, again, fails to flesh out details and feelings. Once again, providing what is basically a report of what happened. For example, Erin had sex in the cab. That’s it. Whether she did it on the steering wheel, got it on in the trunk, was upside down buck naked in the back seat - who knows? Pass on what is a 50-page short story, poorly edited with too much lackluster writing. Don’t recommend.
