Charming, heartfelt, sexy & laugh-out-loud funny!

Making me laugh is no easy feat these days. I feel like romcoms are all written the same and they all struggle to keep my attention. Except this one. This is some bit of sorcery right here. Not only did it make me giggle – out loud – more than once (and in public), but I had this peculiar feeling of being excited to read the book while I was actually reading the book. This sort of breathless anticipation to see what was coming next, and a sort of delighted feeling to get to spend time with Sadie and Liam. I mean, Liam. Talk about a guy I never even saw coming. I’m not really sure there’s anything more sexy than a man who is good with kids. Except maybe a man who is good with kids and also kind of nerdy and funny and kind and sweet and lavishing you with unwavering adoration. That’s pretty much the holy grail of sexiness and, in a nutshell, that’s Liam McAllister. Slightly over-eager and a smidge over the top sometimes, it was all part of Liam’s charm and I just completely adored him. The time he spent with Sadie’s twins? I just…I mean…I can’t even describe that level of adorableness. My heart never even stood a chance. It belongs to Liam now, and I am 100% okay with that. Having been with this series from the beginning, this book felt like a reward. I loved getting to see all the happy couples together in all their zany, ridiculous glory. The friendships going on here are every bit as rewarding as the romance – and that’s saying a lot. There were just…a whole lot of smiles for me while reading this and that’s basically the highest praise I can award. I swear this writing duo just keeps getting better, and I sincerely hope that we’ll get more from them in the future. Boy Toy was an absolutely perfect balance of laugh-out-loud funny and heartfelt emotion. It was smartly written, charming and sexy as all get-out. It’s the whole package and I loved every single minute of it.

    Toffe New Adult

    Who doesn’t love Liam?

No, seriously, if you don’t love him there is something wrong with you. Just kidding... Okay, so where do I start? This is the third book in the series and, in my opinion (any good wife fans who get the reference?), it is the best one. It tells the story of Sadie, a recently divorced mother of two twins and Liam, the kid she used to babysit turned into a man. But none of them are only that. Sadie is an accomplished psychologist (might be a psychiatrist, not sure about that) who is having a hard time letting go of the bad memories that her marriage left. Liam is the caregiver in the twins new daycare and he is also a graduate student studying child behaviour. So with that, you can see they are perfect from one another. Add into that their love for scary movies and you have the perfect mix. Ok, I think I spoiled enough without actually spoiling that much... The point is that I love how their interactions evolved and the kind of relationship they had; the way they both grow by being with one another; how Sadie realised about all the things that were wrong with her husband and not with her. I don’t know what else to say, but if I haven’t convinced you already, just go and see for yourself. It’s a great read!

Fantastic. My heart melted over this story….5+star

Fantastic. My heart melted over this story….5+stars! I loved this romantic comedy, it was such a delightful story. Just everything about it tickled my inner romantic girly heart. Liam McAllister and Sadie Matthews have a bit of history. They met when Liam turned fifteen during the time she was hired by his parents to babysit his siblings for the summer. Sadie was twenty then, and going to college. Liam had a crush on Sadie and since then, she’s been his teenage fantasy. Fast forward, 15 years later Sadie is struggling as a divorced single mom raising her twin daughters. I adored Amy and Kate, they had so much personality. The twins attend the same daycare Liam works. Sadie later discovers Liam is working towards his Ph.D. in child development and his time at the center is temporary. There are sparks between them and Liam decides to finally act on his attraction to Sadie. He’s the guy who’s going to break her dry spell. For Sadie, Liam is the “boy toy” she needs in her life to distract her from the daily grind of being mom and supporter. Though Sadie thinks she’s in it for the sex and fun, Liam’s been in love with her since he was 15 and he is determined on winning her trust and love. But can Sadie trust what her heart wants? I adored Liam. He’s both smart and fun, a real man who’s strong, sexy and kind. He’s protective of the girls and Sadie. I want my own Liam McAllister. Liam and Sadie have a great connection. Boy Toy is sassy and witty and filled with humor. It has melt-your-heart moments that reduced me to goo. I cheered for Sadie and Liam and the resolution to their dilemma and adored the romantic ending. Sarina Bowen comes through with a heartfelt romantic, and humorous story that will stay with you long after you finish reading. A definite must read. I received and voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

    Hilarious!!

I love this series so much!!!! It's the perfect balance of funny and emotional. I can't get enough! Sadie is still picking up the pieces of life after her ex-husband cheating and leaving her for the nanny. When she enrolls her twins in daycare, she sees Liam, the boy she used to babysit for, who's definitely no longer a boy. Liam was 14-years-old when Sadie babysat for his family but he loved her and wanted nothing more than for her to see him as more than a kid. I loved the progression of Sadie and Liam's relationship. Even though she was hesitant to pursue anything with him, Liam was so perfect. He showed her how amazing they could be together and that she's better than anything her ex-husband may have believed about her. I need everyone in this series to get a HEA!! I never want it to end!
