    Sweet with heat!

Genevieve, the new Duchess of Blakesley, has no clue how to be a Duchess! She was never properly trained, as a male heir would have been. But through strange circumstances, she is, in fact, the Duchess of Blakesley. In her own right, without the necessity of a husband to make her so. How refreshing! Lol I loved Vievy! She was very vivacious and hard to repress, though she did try. She needed help to become the Duchess that was needed. Not like her father, who let things go. All of the estates would need attention. And she would need to be seen in society. She was really not prepared. So she writes a letter to her godmother. Who, thankfully had an excellent solution! She will send her steward to help! He is "of" the ton, though maybe no longer accepted since his father disowned him because he joined the military. So off goes Archibald Salisbury, a very organized, militaristic man to help the new Duchess. Mr. Archibald Salisbury, war hero, is now a steward. He is very good at it. Order is the weird of the day with him. What his employer, Lady Sophia, asks of him, in helping the Duchess is right up his alley. He knows the ways of society and knows exactly how a Duchess should behave. He will have a hard time though, she is beautiful and so artless. This is going to be interesting! The immediate chemistry between the two main characters is palpable. I felt that they would be great friends if nothing else. And Genevieve needs all the "real" friends she can get. Relatives are starting to appear, seeking whatever crumbs are available. The training needs to be quick! But Vievy is a quick learner. The fact that her farther is most of the reason her estates are is shambles is an excellent motivator for her. I love that she loves the people who were her servants for her formative years and I feel like she would never be a normal Duchess. Never be cold and unfeeling. Mr. Salisbury is a gentleman to the core. He is written in sick a way that you would want to know him. He has had heartache but it does not define him, or make him heartless. All the characters in this book are likeable. It is a sweet, quick read with a happy ending a bit of heat in there, just for fun! *courtesy copy received

    Another classic in the making.

Society will never be the same when a wild child shakes up the structured world of a man on a mission. Ms. Frampton brings humorous charm and seasoned class to a scenario done many times. My Fair Duchess is a twist on an old gem that develops a life of it's own when Archibald and Genevieve step into view. He's a pillar of the aristocracy with his title and war hero status. She's a newbie in need of some serious taming. What ensues is ultimate chaos with irresistible heart. Another classic in the making.
