    Wonderful story

Jamie is a pre-law student, working three jobs, but has run out of money. He is three months behind in paying rent and has no money for his LSAT. Guy sees him in the library and recognizes himself in Jamie when he was Jamie’s age. Guy offers to help Jamie with no strings attached, just like he had had a benefactor when he was a student. At first, Jamie is wary of the offer, but he trusts his instincts that Guy is a genuinely good guy. Guy is 19 years older than Jamie and has twins of the same age as Jamie. Although Guy is gay he doesn’t see Jamie as a conquest, but as an ambitious and hard-working young man who he can help reaching his goals. Besides Jamie is straight. The arrangement is working, and slowly they are getting to know each other better. Their feelings for each other are slowly shifting toward friendship and eventually love. Jamie is a very mature 21-year-old. He is confident and knows what he wants. He speaks his mind without being arrogant or cocky. When he finds himself attracted to Guy, he does question his sexuality for a bit but soon embraces it, and he isn’t shy about it. Guy is a sophisticated well-to-do man, confident in his own sexuality. Although he is so much older than Jamie, he treats Jamie as an equal, challenges him and supports him. KC tells a lovely story of the growing attraction toward each other against the odds. An older gay man with money and a young straight student. It shouldn’t work, but it does. It is a slow burn love story, but never too slow. It has a steady pace and a nice flow. It feels very natural and realistic. The age gap is never an issue and Guy and Jamie fit seamlessly together. The chemistry is palpable. There are hot scenes, but they don’t predominate the story. It is more about character development and interactions. Guy has a good relationship with his daughter, who has no trouble seeing her father with Jamie. Some drama comes from his homophobic son and difficult ex-wife. Jamie’s friend, Ryan, and Guy’s friends, Cole and John, are very nice second characters. They enhance the story by their presence. I would love to see they get their own love story. Highly recommended.
