A very satisfying read and full circle!

"The Greatest Challenge Of Them All" is Stephanie Laurens at her very best thus far. Whilst the front cover chosen for this book - for all the books in the trilogy, for that matter - could have been more attractive, the contents of this third installment is a very satisfying read. The storyline is well crafted from beginning to end, keeping the reader interested in and captivated by the story from start to finish. At the beginning of the book the reader is brought up to date on the events leading to the beginning of the story that is "The Greatest Challenge Of Them All". The author then runs with the story, keeping the reader intrigued in the plots as they unfold. The story will not bore nor leave the reader hanging. In fact, for those who have read all the Cynster novels from the very first book ("Devil's Bride"), fans would very much appreciate all 60+ chapters of this book which provides details of the happy beginnings of the new generation and a new chapter in life for the old to look forward to. This third installment in the trilogy is not the final: it actually brings the story of the Cynster family and their close friends in full circle but opens the way to a new circle - to stories of the next generation in a changing world. The old generation may have passed the batton to the new and now stand in supporting roles, but the old still remain pillars the new generation can learn from and lean upon when need be. Looking forward to new "Cynster" stories from Ms. Laurens!

    Another great read

I love her books! I have read every Cynster book plus her other titles? She never disappoints, her stories are complex & the characters make you feel like their a part of your life. This trilogy was wonderful & I bet you will be engaged in the series until the end! Looking forward to the next novel.

    Fruition at last

At the end of 'All About Love' it is the summer of 1820; Sebastian is a toddler and Michael a baby. At the Cynster summer gathering at Somersham, Lady Obaldestone comments, in regard to the growing number of Cynster sons, "Heaven help the ladies of 1850". And so it comes to pass. Who would have thought that 16 years after that book was published that we would be reading Sebastian's and Michael's stories ('The Lady by his Side' and 'An Irresistable Alliance' respectively) as part of the trilogy that ends with this novel. Yes, the ladies of 1850 are definitely up for the challenge! The plots of the three books together are fast paced and through them we see the next generation of Cynsters, both male and female, being challenged in their race to solve the mystery that begins in Sebastian's book and ends in Louise's, as well as facing the challenges that go hand in glove with finding their life partners. Even better, each successive couple continues to play an important part in solving the mystery instead of being sidelined as mere observers in subsequent books, as happens in some series. I read all three novels over two and a half days - they're just that good.

The Greatest Challenge of them All

For me if it has Stephanie Laurens on the cover it is a no brainer. Love every book I have read and this one ( 3rd of a trilogy) is no exception. The story weaves, winds, canters and walks you through to the conclusion. The heart goes too. The three romances are incredibly beautiful and the emotion felt so real. All I can add is, Keep up the good work Stephanie. No pressure though!!!

The Greatest Challenge of Them All

Yay! Another satisfying Cynster tale comes to its conclusion. The House of St. Ices and House of Variesy are now joined with the wedding of Drake and Louisa. But how did they get there? Lots of intrigue, adventure and good old fashioned detective work. And with their strong personalities, lots of compromise. Stephanie Laurens gives us another great glad to add to the legend of these great families she has created. Thank you.
