He's not the good time brother.

Knox inherited a rare motorcycle from his father. He has been feeling restless and thought he would take a trip to see if it will help. His father and his brothers think he is the good time brother, that he has no responsibilities and that he only a surfer and part time bartender. Knox meets a beautiful woman during a stop and immediately knows she is different. He just won't do anything about it. Erin is a yoga instructor and has had her own studio for 2 years. She hasn't had anyone in her life for 6 years and her friends think it might be time for her to put herself out there. So, she approaches a sexy biker in the restaurant. After they part, Knox has trouble with his motorcycle and goes to Erin for help. Erin is sure that Knox is just a good time guy and that she won't be able to keep him. Knox decided that maybe he doesn't want to be the good time guy anymore.

Great love story in a multi-author series

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. This is the story of Knox, one of the 7 brothers in the ‘7 Brides for 7 Brothers’ series. The other brothers are done by other authors. I enjoyed this story very much. Knox is the laid back surfer brother who doesn’t end up being as laid back you initially think. His meeting of Erin, a yoga instructor, is amusing because she approaches him in a bar from nudging by her two best friends. Erin has been burned and left behind in her life more than once so is wary about involving herself with this obvious bad boy who is passing through. But chemistry, of course, wins out and it is a great journey for them both. I definitely am adding the other books in the series – a chance to add more authors to my book list.

Just as Good on the Second Read

I've had "Knox" in the Kobo collection on my tablet for a while and finally got around to it last night. Before I was finished with the first chapter I realized I'd read it before. But I was enjoying it so much I just kept reading. I rarely re-read a book so that's my testimonial to the quality of Book #4 in Christie Ridgway's 7 Brides for 7 Brothers series. Romantic, heartwarming, poignant, funny and highly re-readable.

    Brother in Love

I really enjoyed Knox by Christie Ridgway is the fourth book of the 7 Brides for7 Brothers series. When super-wealthy Colin Brannigan dies he leaves each of his sons a bequest. Knox Brannigan rebelled against his father’s high powered business and powerful people. Instead he invests in small projects, ideas that need an infusion of cash to take off, while he surfs and bar tends. Knox is left a vintage Indian motorcycle by his father. He follows his dad’s edict and takes it for a ride up the Pacific coast. When the motorcycle breaks down he brings it to the town listed in the owner’s manual, which is nearby where he is. It takes a while to find the right part, which means Knox has three days to hang out at the seaside motel in town. It also means three nights, spending time with the lovely but disapproving yoga studio owner. Knox is at a crossroad in his life, not sure how to move forward from the gloom hanging over him. Erin Cassidy practices yoga to regulate and restrain her heart, mind and body. Yet once she meets Knox all three go crazy and cause chaos inside of her. Knox is not all he appears. After being majorly burned, Erin set strict guidelines regarding the men she allows into her life. Knox breaks every one of them with his sexy smiles and laid-back attitude. She tries to tell herself it’s only for three days, but those steamy nights just might break her. This was a sweet, fun and entertaining story with very likeable and authentic characters that you want to cheer on, hoping for that happy ending. The characters were well written with complex characteristics. The story line was riveting and kept my attention to the very end. I enjoyed reading this book and had trouble putting this book down, reading it in one day. I highly recommend this book to other readers. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
