    Great romance.

This is the third book in the series about a group of ex-SEALs who are building Base Camp which is a sustainable community. A group of women are living on the same property. These women are living a regency lifestyle. Building this community is being filmed for a reality TV series and is being funded by an eccentric billionaire who has made several demands on the groups in order for them to keep the funding. The men must be married within a year with three of the women becoming pregnant. This story is about Harris who has always been a protector and Samantha who was looking for a stable life since she has always traveled with her parent's musical group around the country and never had roots. When Harris picked Samantha up at the airport, he fell for her immediately and they married right away. He knew this would cause problems at Base Camp because she was suppose to marry another man there. It's also against the show rules to marry without being filmed. I wasn't really enthusiastic about the idea of this series with the sustainable community and the women living like they were in Jane Austin's regency time but the more I read about it the more I liked it. I love military men in stories so the ex-SEALs hooked me right away. The regency lifestyle for the women still seems odd to me but I like the way the couples get together. I just knew the s**t would hit the fan when Curtis found out that Harris married the bride intended for him and couldn't wait to see how that worked out. That led to a very creative twist in this story. I liked the well developed characters in A SEAL's Pledge. I admired Samantha for leaving the life she had for one she knew almost nothing about and agreeing to marry a man she'd never met. It was nice to see her strength of character once she was away from her family. I liked Harris' protectiveness for everyone but felt sorry for him because he so badly wanted to belong to something/somebody. He was a hard person to know because he didn't talk much but kept to himself. Please note that even though I received a complementary copy of A SEAL's Pledge I am voluntarily reviewing it as I do with all the books I read.

    Loving this series

Swoon!! Harris is so far my favourite hero from this series( Jericho is a close second so looking forward to his book) Harris was a sniper before joining the community, while he believes in the ethics and ideas behind Base camp he joined mainly for the wife! he believes himself to be awkward around women but Sam takes one look and decides he is the man for her. Harris is quiet and stays very much on the sidelines but he is a valuable member of the community something he comes to realise during his and Sam's story. Our heroine Sam is gorgeous but she doesn't know it, put upon by her ungrateful family she sees Base camp as a new beginning, some where to put down some roots and have a family. Sam and Harris were perfect together but connections don't matter to the awful Renata ( Cora definitely knows how to create the perfect "baddie") and Curtis the man who happily left our poor SAm at the airport after being grateful that he didn't need to go ahead with his wedding after Clay and Noran married. I have to say Curtis wasn't the best in this story, I'm sure the author will redeem him though wen he gets his own book. I love the twists and turns that Cora delivers in her writing, you literally have no idea what will happen next. I love the fact we see all the characters in these books, see how they interact and embrace each other as a community, its not just the orginal men and women its all of them working together, and by doing this Cora gives(I'm hoping anyway) hints at what is to come as the series progresses. I loved the Halls of Chance Creek, and this series is right up there, I count the days down until a new realise. Very much looking forward to the next instalment, thank you Cora
