    Thanks for your feedback!

    less depth than I expected

I expected more from this book. It was readable, but shallow. Not as entertaining as books of similar depth I.e. Sophie Kinsella. Not a book I'd recommend unless you just really need something easy to read and are outbid books.

    Enjoyable!

I really enjoyed this book. It was creative and intriguing, and I found myself invested in Kitty/Katharyn's character. I cheered for her and I cried for her. Overall, a good story!

    Interesting twist

At the beginning I didn't expect the ending to go the way it did. Definitely made me consider my own dreams in retrospect. Over all I'm pleased with this read. Very intriguing.

    Unexpectedly likable

I read this book as a book club choice and at first I was too excited about it but after reading a chapter or two I found I couldn't put it down. An enjoyable book and an interesting concept.

If only the author of the abstract wrote the book

...then it would have been interesting. I felt duped while reading this book. Great concept, but just terrible writing. The author wrote in a very prissy and unrealistic voice for the character. Sure, it takes place in the 1960s, but her thoughts are written like a bad episode of "Leave it to Beaver". Social norms may have been different, but this book, written from the first-person perspective, was so overly formal and...prissy. There's that word again, but it just fits it so well. Sort of like a women wearing "sensible low heels" to go on long walks around a neighbourhood. Even more sensible, flats. Authors, please take note: not all women want long descriptions of a characters outfits or shoes to set the scene.
