    Thanks for your feedback!

    You hafta read this one!

I approached the reading of this book with some trepidation. I'm related to the author. So there was a niggling fear that I might not like it and then what? Once I was past the first chapter or so I was captivated, there is so much evidence in this book of what it really means to "craft/fashion" a phrase or thought with adroit dexterous wordsmithery. Every now and then while reading I would get an "AHA!" moment and an extra shade or nuance would capture me, and cause me to pause. The bottom line is this, GREAT book, if you haven't read it you should, and I believe there is more to come in this story, I'm looking forward to it.

    A Magnificent literary triumph.

Nothing I could say would do this book justice. I have read 1000's of books in my life, but this might just be the most beautiful prose I have ever inhaled. The word-pictures drawn and the emotional wringing of the heart are flawless, devastating, and exquisite, all at once. I will be waiting on the edge of my seat for another masterpiece from this author. Bravo!!!

    More than worth it

It takes a bit of getting used to following the thought process of a character with such a creative spirit from a disjointed and emotionally ruined 8 year old through adolescence and beyond, but once you absorb the rhythm and begin to grasp the references, it becomes so rewarding to be a part of her world. I only wish I had thought to take on life, as even and easy as mine has bee in comparison, in such an awe inspiring way. A lesson learned better late than never. Will read again for sure when my soul needs a reminder.

Can I give this book 6 stars?

It has been quite some time since I have read anything that has moved me as profoundly as The Clay Girl. In Ari, Tucker has created a heroine who does so much more than simply come of age, and she blesses us with the joy and heartbreak of Ari's evolution in words that do, indeed, dance on the moon. Prepare to weep as much in joy as you do in sorrow, but prepare to weep!
