Fantastic swoony read that hooked me right away!

Actual Rating 4.5 stars After reading Just Friends, I was a little worried going into More than Friends, but I couldn't have been more wrong! The story picks up where the last left off, but this time around, it's told mainly from Amanda's point of view (Tuttle's too, but I'll get to that in a bit). We do get resolution to the first book and all the characters we met in Just Friends make appearances again (some simply referenced, others actually interacting with our MC's), but all of that is second to the relationship unfolding between Amanda and Tuttle. Amanda was my favorite character from Just Friends and being in her head made her even more amazing. She is kind, considerate, loyal, and an all around good person and friend. I love that she doesn't want drama or to play games and stays true to herself. Her inner monologue was genuine and at times hilarious. I feel like Monica Murphy perfectly captured the mystery of the teenage girl. As the book progressed, I swooned with her, I rejoiced with her, I was confused with her, and my heart broke for her. Seriously, the author gives you the highest highs and the lowest lows in this one! Jordan. Oh, you sweet and tortured boy. I didn't care much for Jordan Tuttle in Just Friends, but I definitely got invested in him and Amanda after reading One Night. This book though, solidified my love for him. He's like a shell of a person going through the motions until he opens himself up to Amanda. He is definitely the most complex of all the characters in this series and I actually squealed when we finally got a chapter from his POV. Though I really enjoyed Amanda's POV, I would have LOVED to have read more Tuttle chapters. There is the usual teenage drama (it seemed a bit drawn out in the beginning of the book), but overall, it worked because it felt true to the characters. They're not wading through love triangles or squares. It's just Amanda and Jordan. They're battling their own insecurities and demons, and for better or worse, making decisions that they think are for the best. It was clear from the start where things were headed, but I still felt things ended pretty abruptly. Yes, the book ends with a cliffhanger (which the author apologized for in the acknowledgements!), but the silver lining is that there is still more story to tell between Amanda and Jordan and I cannot wait! I completely enjoyed this book and it's only because I wanted more Tuttle chapters and a less abrupt ending that this isn't a 5 star read for me, but it's pretty damn close! ;) If you didn't like Just Friends, don't give up yet! More than Friends is amazing and you won't regret reading it! *Many thanks to the author for providing this ARC free of charge*

    Love this series!!

I love this story. I read Just Friends first and loved every second of it. It was full of angst and drama. I loved reading about all the teenagers and the craziness that was going on in their lives. When it came to an end I couldn't wait to get my hands on the next installment. While waiting for More than Friends to come out I went and read One Night on Wattpad. Reading it gave me a better feel for all of the other characters. Where I had been invested in Emily, Dustin, Olivia and Ryan in book one, I was now wanting to know what was going to happen with 4-5 more characters. In More than Friends we get Jordan and Amanda's story. Not their whole story, but we see who they really are and how they feel about one another. I devoured this book as quickly as the first one. I loved Jordan, right now he said the only one of the boys I can honestly say that about. I think I like Dustin and I'm pretty sure I'm going to end up hating Ryan. This series is one of those that read like a television series. I feel like Monica Murphy could write 5-6 more books in the series for us to get the full story on all of the characters. I'm really enjoying it and can't wait for the next one. There's still so much to figure out.

I want to cuddle with Tuttle

**I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review** Since reading One Night on Wattpad I've been addicted to Jordon and Amanda's story. So when I found out they were going to have a whole book dedicated to them I was super excited to read it. This book. Oh this book!! So. Many. Feels. Amanda is an ex-band "nerd" who got hurt by both her ex-boyfriend and her ex-best friend on the same night. It just so happens that on that night she also got wrapped up with Jordan Tuttle. Jordan Tuttle is a mystery to everyone and everyone wants a piece of Tuttle. The girls want him to be theirs and the boys want to party at this house. Jordan doesn't like to let anyone in but he wants Amanda. Badly. Watching these two go back-and-forth was exciting and frustrating. Exciting because I could relate to Amanda on so many levels. Her insecurity, jealousy and hesitation when it came to Jordan were understandable. Frustrating because it felt like the cliche: one step forward, two steps back. Once things got going, something (or someone) would cause them to go off course. I really hope these two get their acts together because they are now my most favourite couple. I hope Amanda gets to #cuddlewithtuttle more.
