    Historical Scottish Romance Anthology

Say Yes to the Scot A Highland Wedding Box Set 4 historical highland novellas by 4 authors I. HOW A LASS WED A HIGHLANDER by Lecia Cornwall What a delightful adult fairy tale this story was! Alexander Munro’s clan has been suffering under Baird Sutherland’s marauding. One evening he is off to rescue some of his people when he stumbles upon Cait MacLeod. At first she is a prisoner and suspect but over time she steals the hearts of the people imprisoning her – including Alex’s. The question is whether or not the clan will get their magical fairytale ending and true love will conquer all. I loved it from beginning to end and LOVED finding out what man one more of The Fearsome MacLeod’s daughters ends up with. (5 Stars) II. A MATCH MADE IN HEATHER by Anna Harrington Garrick McGuiness, groom, and Arabella Rowland were set to elope only to have their plans thwarted. Ten years later they are both disillusioned, have false information about that night and yet are given a second chance at love. By this time much has happened and it won’t be easy for them to find a HEA…especially as obstinate as they both are. I never understood why Arabella was so true to a family so undeserving or how Garrick could carry a torch, either could carry a torch, for ten years. (2-3 Stars) III. A MIDSUMMER WEDDING by May McGoldrick A marriage arranged when children are 3 and 7 is not one that will necessarily be looked forward to when those same children are twenty years older. Elizabeth Hay and Alexander MacPherson, in trying to get out of their upcoming wedding, instead find they have a very good reason indeed to marry…if they are not routed by a regal person wanting to nix the wedding. I liked this one a lot! (4-5 Stars) IV. THE SCOT SAYS I DO by Sabrina York Catherine Ross had a crush on Duncan Mackay when she was twelve. He, being older and working in the stable, used teasing to keep her at a distance. Years later he has improved his station, is wealthy and seeks Catherine out to wed. It takes them both a bit of time to admit they care for one another and someone else to kidnap her before a final HEA ending can be achieved. I found this story entertaining but somewhat predictable. (3 Stars) Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press – Swerve for the ARC – This is my honest review. 4 Stars

    Loved!

This is a wonderful collection of books that I just loved. Each story was better than the last and kept me turning pages just as quickly as possible. Each author created a delightful set of characters and made me fall in love with them. While all of the books were great, my personal favorite was The Scot Says I Do, by Sabrina York. This is an engaging story that also highlights some of the real challenges women faced during the time period. However, it is told as only the Queen of Hotness can tell a tale. While the heat is a bit tamer than many of her books, the story is a must read. If you enjoy a Highland romance, you will love this collection. Put this one at the top of your TBR, you'll be glad you did.

    Fabulous Collection!

Say Yes To The Scot is a collection of 4 stories in one book. All of these stories were well-written and a nice smooth read. Each book is a standalone, not a cliff-hanger. Each story is a fairly short read, a great choice for those with limited time for reading. How A Lass Wed A Highlander by Lecia Cornwall is the story of Alex and Cait. The characters in this story are phenomenal. There's plenty of action, drama and suspense along with a bit of spice. This was my first book by Lecia Cornwall. I totally enjoyed it and look forward to reading more from this author. A Match Made In Heather by Anna Harrington is Garrick and Arabel's story. Loaded with awesome characters, drama, humor and sizzle, this book will have readers glued to their kindles. I look forward to my next Anna Harrington book. A Midsummer Wedding by May McGoldrick is Elizabeth and Alexander's story. Ms McGoldrick has loaded this story with humor, drama, action and sexy bits. The characters are lovable and a great fit for this story. This is my first book by May McGoldrick but won't be my last. The Scot Says I Do by my favorite wordsmith, Sabrina York is another example of why I love this author's work. Catherine and Duncan's story is loaded with characters that will make you laugh, cringe or fan yourself. There plenty of drama, action and humor along with enough sparks to melt your kindle. I can't wait to read more from Sabrina York. I voluntarily read an Advance Reader Copy of this book that I received from NetGalley.
