    Required reading

This short book packs in a lot of information. It never overpowers and yet there is an important piece of interest in every paragraph. It is an important guide to Reconciliation and pairs well with Thomas King's, The Inconvenient Indian.

A must read for all Canadians

This book clearly states and scrupulously annotates the evolution of the Indian Act in Canada. The annotation is especially significant because some of the foundations and iterations of this act stretch credulity. As Canadian we must do better. We are all treaty people. This is a must read for people living in Canada.

    disturbing

I wish I read this book in school. Makes you question everything about being Canadian.

21 Things You May Not Know About the

Although painful to read Bob Joseph makes the difficult information palatable; a must read for every Canadian and new Canadian. The very disturbed and psychotic minds that laid the foundation for the country we now live in cries out for healing in the non-Indigenous minds of Canadians. We all need to decolonize ourselves.
