    short but cute!

Independent reviewer for Archaeolibrarian, I was gifted my copy of this book. Oh so deliciously short!! Cute too! Those are my overriding feelings upon finishing this book. Angelo Thirteen is found drifting in space after his ship is damaged. Elle is on a mission to sell some ore to raise funds to rescue her brother. Can a clone built without emotion find the love he craves? Can Elle find a place in her heart for someone other than her brother and her ship? Like I said, short!! 100 pages, little over an hour's reading time for me, but such a lovely way to spend that hour!! I've had a little run of science fiction books, and they can, at times, be a little too overpowering with the technology and stuff, but NOT so here. Just enough science, for Angelo is a clone. We get just enough for why he is Thirteen, and how he came to be craving the things he really shouldn't have. Just enough history, for Angelo and Elle and her brother. Just enough drama, for Elle is trying to keep her brother out of the prison mines. And a little twist at the end that I did not see coming! I do enjoy the way Ms Redd spins her tales, such easy, well rounded, well written tales! I wonder will there be more of these clones that aren't supposed to feel, but do?? A short review for a short book, but a VERY enjoyable book at that. 4 stars.

    Sci-fi Romance

Angelo and Elle's story is short but you get to see each of their stories that made them who they are. I love this sci-fi romance by Rosalie Redd. The characters are interesting and has me wanting more stories about them. I received an advance copy for an honest review.

    Clone Me A Lover

Clone Me a Lover was originally part of the Baby, It's Cold in Space anthology, and it stood out from the others due to Angelo Thirteen's gentle demeanour, his hopeful attitude, and his willingness to help. With Elle trying to do all she can to rescue her brother before he is sent to the mines, and Angelo Thirteen really not wanting to go back to earth, you could be forgiven for thinking that they just both fall into bed. Nothing could be further from the truth though, as these two learn about each other first. Angelo Thirteen respects Elle for being a Captain and all that comes with it, whilst Elle is blown away by the difference in attitude between Angelo and the men that she knew from her own planet. This is a novella, so it is quick-paced, but the story is not lacking in any way. This is novella one in the series, and I can't wait to continue it. I can only imagine just where Rosalie Redd's imagination will take us next time. With no spelling or editorial mistakes to disrupt my reading flow, I have no hesitation in highly recommending this novella. * A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book, and my comments here are my honest opinion. * Merissa Archaeolibrarian - I Dig Good Books!
