    Very enjoyable

This is a very enjoyable M/M romance that is full of suspense and mystery giving lots of twists and turns to the story that kept me flipping page after page. This is a spin off from Guarding Mr. Fine but can definitely be read standalone. Alec Drummond is the CEO of a multi-billion dollar company. When he discovers Gaige Owens trying to hack his systems something tells him he could learn something from this guy. It may not be all business when it comes to Alec and Gaige thought! A very well done book and one I recommend to any who likes a little steam with their suspense!

    Dirty Deeds

Cleverly written with a page turning appeal and a sleep stealing effect. I love it when the book demands my attention and starts to be boss of my time. That ending is perfect. It is also so me in character. Congratulations and thanks.

3.5 stars for this Doomsday Vault rom suspense

3.5ish stars. I plan to read future books in this series. It has a refreshing take on a billionaire mogul and locale for evil doing. If you are interested in suspense, this book has it. Romance, it has it. Doomsday vault, yes! The story is really a forced proximity, insta-lust, sorta enemies to lovers kind of story. Alec and Gaige are strangers. For some reason, Alec is pretty quick to move Gaige into his guest room to "keep an eye" on him. They go from suspicious and untrusting to naked in 3.2 seconds (translation: about 1 day). I loved Gaige and I somewhat liked Alec. I wish more time had been devoted to them being together, talking to each other, spending quality time together, but what we got was okay. And their sexy times were hot. Anyway, the book has an interesting and new take on the save the world from the evil doer trope. Ms. Dimon takes us into the Doomsday Vault, which is pretty awesome. Generally, I don't try to figure out who the bad guy is, but this book had so many suspects and introduced a couple of side characters that I want to know better. We do get a HFN ending with an odd conversation about love. I would have preferred an epilogue set sometime in the future instead of that, but it was okay. The personal conflict at the end of the book was a bit contrived. These are two men who have been keeping secrets from each other who have revealed one major truth about themselves. That being said, they had known each other for days. Less than a week. Considering that, neither of them could be expected to trust the other 100% - especially when you take into account all that was happening.

    Suspenseful, Sexy and HOT!

Once again, I've read a book that just blew me away and reviewing it will take some serious thought. (It's a lot easier for me to review not-so-good books than it is really good one.) Dirty Deeds is the first book in HelenKay Dimon's new The Dirty series. I loved her Tough Love series and I didn't think it could get much better. In my last review of her work, Guarding Mr. Fine, I said that I hoped there would be more books in the series. I got my wish but not exactly as I imagined it. Dirty Deeds is a spin-off of that series (but totally stands alone) and more books are coming next year. I got to meet Ms. Dimon at the recent RWA book signing in Orlando. Oh, how I wish I had read this book before that meeting. When we spoke, I gushed about the Tough Love series but I couldn't say a thing about Dirty Deeds since I hadn't read it yet. This story is filled with non-stop action and suspense. It's also filled with super-hot sexual chemistry (and more) between the two MCs (main characters) – Gaige Owens and Alec Drummond. Gaige is being blackmailed by Seth Lang from a special-ops division of the CIA. If you read the Tough Love series you might remember Seth as the MC in the third book, Guarding Mr. Fine. There are a lot of things going on in this story – but not so many that it's difficult to keep track. There's the blackmail of Gaige, the mystery and suspense of who's causing problems for Alec's company, and the chemistry between Gaige and Alec that's off the charts. Gaige was burned very badly by his last lover. He has no intention of falling for an alpha a-hole like Alec. Alec doesn't mix business with pleasure and has never had sex with an employee. Good thing that Gaige isn't exactly an employee. I literally stayed up all night reading this book and didn't put it down until I finished it around 5:30 a.m. There are three Drummond brothers and we meet two of them in Dirty Deeds. The next book is about Finn and I can't wait to read it. A review copy was provided by the publisher via NetGalley but this did not influence my opinion or rating of the book. ***Reviewed for Xtreme-Delusions dot com***

    Good romance

Dirty Deeds is the first book in The Dirty series which is a spin-off of HelenKay Dimon’s Tough Love series. Filled with action, steamy sex scenes and exotic locations, I was kept glued to the book until it ended. Alec was introduced in Guarding Mr. Fine as Rick’s ex-boyfriend. While he was only in Guarding Mr. Fine in small bits, he had me intrigued. So when I saw that HelenKay Dimon had started a new series and he was going to be one of the main characters, I was pretty pumped. The more into the story that I got, the more I liked him and the more I felt bad for him. During the scene where he told Gaige about his family and the trauma of finding his sister after she committed suicide, I felt awful for him. I also felt awful for him when he revealed his relationship with his father and uncle and I thought to myself “No wonder he keeps everyone but his brothers at arm’s length“. Gaige, I had a tougher time liking. I don’t know why but I had a really hard time connecting to him at first. I think it was the circumstances in which the reader was introduced to him. I did eventually warm up to him by mid-book after he saved Alec’s life and I got more background on him. I really thought what his ex did was awful but what Seth was doing to Gaige was worse. By the end of the book, I liked him. He definitely more than made up for my first disconnection from him. The attraction between Gaige and Alec was immediate and guess what, there was no Instalove!! While I felt that the sexual part of the relationship was a bit rushed, the “L” word wasn’t even mentioned until later in the book….after the events at the seed vault. With great attraction comes mind-blowing sex and these two were like bunnies throughout the book. The sex scenes were page burning hot. Now the plotline about the seed vault was pretty original and I liked how it tied into Alec’s job. But I was very disappointed in how Seth was portrayed. He came across as a huge jerk who enjoyed needling both Gaige and Alec. It drove me nuts because I remember him being a different way in Guarding Mr. Fine. I just wish that he was written to be less of a jerk. Honestly, his interactions with both Gaige and Alec kind of ruined parts of the book for me. Back to the plotline. I was pretty surprised who the bad guy turned out to be. Very surprised. It was a twist that definitely took me by surprise. The end of the book, after the twist, was pretty standard with an HEA. I am pretty excited to read Finn’s story next and see who is his perfect match!! How many stars will I give Dirty Deeds: 3 Why: While I liked the story, the romance, and the sex, I had a hard time connecting to Gaige in the beginning. Couple with Seth being a jerk and it brought the rating down for me. Other than that, I really enjoyed reading the book. Will I reread: Maybe Will I recommend to family and friends: Maybe Age range: Adult Why: Sex, violence, and language **I received a free copy of this book and volunteered to review it**
