    The Unfinished Child

Oh how I could relate to Elizabeth. I also could not have children and I mirrored the same lonely journey. It is amazing how desperate you become when you can`t have the one thing that completes being a woman. Motherhood. Needless to say, I persevered and with much research and determination, I ventured on my own to Romania in 1991 and found the most beautiful, perfect 4 weeks old baby boy! He is now 23 and the absolute love of my life. Looking back now, I know it was my destiny that we were meant to be together. I say bless those unselfish mothers who give up their child so that people like me have the joy of being a mom :-)

    Unfinished Child

I loved this book. Probably rank it as one of favorites. I loved how the author brought the story of three separate women together. Its a emotional read but I suppose that is the point of any good book....to have the reader feel connected. Thank you!

    Interesting but trite story

Down Syndrome is tracked through 4 generations with a story that shows how the attitudes of society have changed over the years. It also explores the reason that fewer people with Down are born in today's society. The triteness comes from the relationship between two women who have been BFF since childhood - one that is childless and one that is not. I would recommend this as an easy but emotional read.

    It opened my eyes

I have a child with down syndrome and i'm glad that life is better today with a special needs child. This book is very sensitive yet educational at the same time, thank you!
