This Squirrel leaves you begging for more!

Unique. Amazing. Groundbreaking. I guess those are a few words that sum up this book for me. I stumbled upon Jewel's books last winter and I have never looked back. When I saw this one coming out I had to pounce on it and trust me guys.. this book DOES NOT disappoint! This book has it all. Romance.. Mystery.. Intrigue... and one HELL of a plot twist... Through out this book you go through one heck of a journey with Darby as she befriends Trick out of the blue and the relationship blossoms. My heart breaks so much for both of them as they ride the waves of the all the drama that follows them. The book ends on such a high, I did not want it to end and I wanted so so much more! Jewel's writing to me is amazing. The way this book just jumped off the page... I could not put it down. What I love about her books is how unique the story lines are as well. I have YET to see anything similar to this one. It was a total breath of fresh air. This will be one book I can handle picking up over and over and over again!

    Cool & different book

Seriously not what I expected. While the idea of "guy liner " is a bit if a turn off, this is a really good story. I love that it's not traditional but still maintains the original boy meets girl & she rocks his world. I love a bit of different. "Come".

    It's all about Trick

Why did I pick this one up? Two words for you: Makeup artist. That’s it. It really had nothing else to do with the blurb, maybe a few other things peaked my curiosity, but it was those two words hooked me and I just had to read it because how many books have you read where the main male character is a makeup artist? My personal count is zero so I had to read it. But before getting into my thoughts I do feel compelled to do a little Buyer Beware here: The blurb is perfect. It gives a potential reader a pretty good idea of what the book will be about BUT only about 5% of it is told by Trick. This definitely wasn’t a deal breaker for me when I started the book, but I know some may not feel the same, so fair warning to all. For the most part I really liked Only Trick and was hooked from the opening paragraph. I loved Darby’s quirky, witty, compassionate and somewhat spastic nature. Her life was in no way perfect but she dealt with things in the best way she knew how and sometimes it was by simply going with the flow. Patrick “Trick” Roth was a mystery from the start. Too sexy for his own good, he barely speaks and when he does it’s either in short sentences or one word. His whole stay away, I’m unattainable vibe only ends up making him more interesting to one and all, straight or gay. Their growing relationship was one that had me bouncing back and forth from loving them together to rolling my eyes at the “insta” feeling of how quickly certain things happened and were resolved between them because some I felt needed more than an “I’m sorry. I love you.” The mystery surrounding Trick’s past and his amnesia was what I enjoyed the most about the book and really liked how it all played out. The clues that were peppered throughout the story were well done and while I did figure out a piece of the puzzle, I definitely didn’t see the what the final resolution would be. The actual ending to Trick and Darby’s story is one where I love that they both get their HEA, because they really do deserve it, but one aspect of it had me going “hhmmmm.” and not totally agreeing with it, but it does give the story a nice clean ending. Overall I really did enjoy Only Trick, despite the WTF moments I had with certain things. It’s a fun and sexy read with interesting characters and a well written mystery weaved into the story. ~ I received an ARC via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review ~

    Awesome Read

One I got over the fact of the guy was a makeup artist, this book had me hooked. The whole makeup artist thing actually ended up kinda being sensual! And their love story was heartbreaking and beautiful at the same time. Not to mention that the sex scenes were hot! The twist at the end was unexpected too. This one will be on my read again list!
