Intrigue, Antics, Romance and Ghosts.... Oh My!

Shake off the Ghosts is the second book that I have read by Michaela Wright. I find her writing to be quite enjoyable. She combines likeable characters with great storylines. This particular book centers around Corinne, a house sitter who travels to Scotland to housesit Cavendish House, and Branson, the rightful owner who must fix up Cavendish House to claim his inheritance. The story that follows is full of intrigue, antics, romance, ghosts and crockpots! Overall, I would definitely recommend this book. “I received a free copy of this book from Booksprout. I voluntarily reviewed this book and this is my honest review.”

    Needed More Ghosts

Needs more ghosts I smiled at some scenes, but it was kinda ho hum read. Corinne Turner is an American and also is a professional house sitter. So a guy Christopher Menzies that she has as a contact in Scotland got her this job house sitting at Cavendish House in Scotland for two months. She is to clean it and give it a little maintenance. A man named Branson Douglas who says he's the owner is there too. So they start working together to get the house repaired and cleaned up before the inspectors come to check it out in a couple of months. Corinne is supposed to be getting paid by the estate and that person in charge is Jocelyn Read. So far she's only received one payment and she owes her two more. Then she meets Callista who is Branson's sister. Plus all the townspeople around the mansion. This has a lot of secrets that are uncovered, quit a few backstabbing too. All in all there is a relatively happy ending. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
